Not a bad place. We had the ultimate burger and steak & Guinness pie. Chips and onion rings were on point, the burger was decent and well done which I appreciate. Pie was the best. Prices were reasonable and huge menu of pub classics. Felt like it wasn't so easy to get a well rounded meal. Plus Free

I like this pub as it has a cozy, chilled vibe. Food is okay. Service is slow but staff are friendly and lots of option of where to sit as is quite a big pub.

The Gate freehouse pub was fantastic.The "Tribute "beer was fresh and at the right temperature. Food ordered had arrived fairly quickly. Chicken wings and half ribs rack crispy and soft inside. Friendly unobtrusive service. Good atmosphere 👌.
