Fantastic food and fabulous staff! Last minute decision and very helpful..burger to die for!
Excellent staff, great atmosphere, great service, really enjoyed it there and definitely go again
Top pub, great staff, excellent food and value for money. Sunday Roasts can't be beaten!!
the fate of nearly all the pubs in and around Harrow is to make way for a Macdonalds, a block of flats, or succumb to the encroaching mall-ification of it's surroundings.
The Royal Oak through some miracle has survived all that to become one of the last remaining actual English pubs left in the borough.
It is also superior in many of it's ambient pub qualities and is hosted by a terrific staff serving up the best in British booze and pub grub. Outside it's timbered hall the shopping zombies of a post mall apocalypse slope towards their next "purchase" whilst inside English life continues unabated.
Such a lovely pub with excellent bar staff and great food
Lovely place to have a drink, the service was first class and the bar staff made you feel
Welcome and were sociable , was impressed with the food tasted amazing will be back soon
Love this pub. Food really good, the lady Manager has a very welcoming and friendly attitude and the dog is gorgeous.
Whenever I come to Harrow I have to visit here, the food is delicious and well priced, there's a nice atmosphere and staff are welcoming and friendly. Well worth the visit
We stayed at a local B&B and thought we would pay this a visit based on recommendation from where we were staying . Was welcoming , food was lovely, roomy and not too loud. Floor service was excellent and would specially like to praise Will who served us and was from Gloucestershire and lady with blue rinse hair called Rachael and they were both awesome. Polite , friendly , chatty and they made our night considering we were northerners visiting as my wife was attending St Marks Hospital the following day. Special praise goes to these two people. Great assets to the pub and hope the owners appreciate their staff as these two went out of their way - a night to remember
Nice place and loved it.such a nice place to enjoy sunshine.
Good pub, excellent location. Right outside the shopping mall. Well priced drinks. Shows all the live sports event's and chilled out music. Good ambiance.
Spacious. Good ambiance. Nice crowd.
We ordered food after few pints of beer. Placing the order took long which is probably usual for a busy Friday night. But, the food arrived quickly.
Food taste, presentation etc. is ok but could have been better.
Overall, a reasonably priced place to visit and spend some good time. Look forward to visit again.
The Royal Oak is a centrally located pub in Harrow Town Centre, right between the two shopping centres (St George's and St Ann's).
Management was changed roughly 5 years ago, and was formerly known as the Rat and Parrot. Since the Rat and Parrot days, the reputation has improved drastically.
The pub offers a lunch and dinner menu, with regular deals on drinks. Recent deals on drinks include the Cider Festival running from mid-May to the beginning of June, which offer 4 bottles of cider for £10 smashing deal.
Dishing up, large hearty meals, The Royal Oak is a splendid place to order food and a nice refreshing drink on a summer's day, or even a winter's day, as the pub has large panal windows to allow a cool breeze in the summer and heating to cosy you in during the winter months.
For all the sports fans out there; the pub has 4 widescreen televisions and a large projector, that shows all the major sporting events including rugby and football. Also, there should be no qualms about avid supporters of any team taking residence in The Royal Oak, as there isn't a specific crowd of supporters that dominate the pub, and there has rarely been any supporter related disturbances in the pub since the new management was acquired.
The interior is very warm and well-kept. Also, they have heavenly comfortable sofas and armchairs around the place fantastic for chilling out having a drink with friends or family.
The only thing that realy lets the pub down is their toilet maintenance they do not have toilet roll holders, and sometimes do not even have toilet rolls in every cubicle. The toilets could do with a spot of redecoration and improvement.
Lastly, they have a house dog, a friendly white Labrador that causes no trouble and wonders around the outdoor drinking area.
I didn't have any food so i can't comment on it's quality but every time i have been to this pub one of the bar staff, i think her name is Beth, has been so helpful. Her manager Millie was also very helpful. From recommending drinks to just having a chat and engaging with myself and the people i was with i can tell that they have a strong work ethic and care about their customers. I would definitely reccomend.
The Staff were very friendly attentive and seemed genuine, we had some good pub style food, Nachos and a Burger and chips, all food was served hot and delicious.
Thanks Royal Oak
Excellent pub in a very good location just next to the shopping centre , lovely & helpful staff, good food and very nice cold drinks.
I've been twice with my wife and once with our daughter. On both occasions the service was warm , friendly and professional. Its large and comfortable with a good range of food. I will visit again for sure.
Amazing place. Great vibes, nice outdoor space. Excellent service. 10/10 would recommend
I celebrated my birthday here and everything was upto the mark right from food to ambience to the light music to the crowd and last but not the least the kind staff and their superb service.
The drinks are reasonably priced.
The food platter veg and non veg had a variety and all my friends enjoyed it.
The Christmas decorations were amazing and we got some lovely pics..
I would highly rate this place and would definitely recommend it.

Glad it's improved! So much better!
Be a go to rather than avoid!
Thanks guys!
A lovely surprise, located within St George's shopping centre. A huge airy, but traditional building offering a fine selection of bot keg and cask. Food looks generous and appealing. The staff are jolly and attentive. The locals are delightful and talkative. I enjoyed a most delightful visit and recommend you do to!
Lovely customer service, decent prices and good pub food. There is a lot of outdoor and indoor seating available and you can choose to order from your phone or go to the bar. It's ideal for a quick bite since it's situated near the shops!
Located in a prime spot besides the popular St George's Shopping Centre, Central Harrow and at the end of St Anne's Road and Precinct, the Royal Oak by Greene King is a fantastic place to spend five minutes or five hours. With a fresh, clean, pandemic friendly interior of moody lighting, LED TVs for live sports, BOSE sound system and sunny pub garden exterior, every preference and occasion can be accounted for. Whether a quick solo visit, with family, friends or to decompress with work colleagues: the ambience is both invigorating and mellow enough to give a family friendly, very neighbourly feel.
The staff are outstanding pros and absolute assets to the Greene King brand. Friendly, competent, flexible, approachable and personable, they are happy to check in with regulars and welcome newcomers with equally enthusiastic kindness and warmth. It makes a huge difference to the consumer journey and customer experience if the staff can deliver incredible, unobtrusive service. Especially in a friendly town such as Harrow, a suburb of a true Megapolis in London. Special mentions to Anish, Beth, Lorenzo, Leanne, Levon, Brad, Gigi, Jess, Rainer, Rita, X and Yoni: since reopening, each has served us and every member has impressed.
The drinks are everything standard one might seek to find at a public house. The food menu is diverse and reinvigorating. There are superb lunchtime deals as well as special seasonal changes and offers to make the most of while the pandemic friendly App is a must use for experiencing the usual fast reliable service when the venue is populated. Especially now during good weather, the Euros and Wimbledon imminently, too.
They also serve great non alcoholic and hot drink alternatives, should they be preferred. The fish and chips are supreme. The vegan burger sliders are probably the best starter in any mainstream pub anywhere. The soups and pizzas look fresh and are allegedly superb, just the menu is so wholesome and large that there are so many meals yet to have. The. Burgers are huge stacks, the Hunter's chicken is a throwback to solid grilled alternatives and the lasagne as with most of the food options is made by an actual Italian team.

10/10 would recommend to anyone staying in, or passing through, Harrow.
The staff in this bar are very nice, they have a good range of beers and wines and the food menu is good too. I like to pop in here prior to the cinema for dinner and a few beers. The decor is very nice inside and if you are lucky enough to get a table it is candle lit in the evenings. You have to time your visit because this bar has sky sports on a number of screens arond the bar which is very popular for big games or boxing which doesn't lend itself to a romantic evening with the missus.
Updated review
They have changed the menu and brought in some new Green King Ales and lagers. Staff are still as pleasant as ever and albeit we only tried the mixed share platters, I would say the menu is still good.
Nice pub with a good atmosphere - seating outside is great for a sunny day!
We tried out the sharer plates for lunch and they were absolutely delicious. I recommend the Karaage Sticky Chicken and Halloumi Strips.
Food was nice tasting, but not much of it for the price. Service was very good. Karaoke night. So was getting noisy when we left.
