I absolutely love this place. The seafood is amazing and also served by exceptional staff.
Every item on the menu is worth trying. My personal favourites are the calamari, prawns, blue swimmer crab and mussels all with the whole Shabang seasoning.

It's my local favourite restaurant. Normally order it as a takeaway so I can get as messy as I like at home. It's our every Friday night dinner. Always fresh seafood, never frozen. Had an issue just once, but they replaced the whole dish for me (only thing is that my hubby had to leave his meal and get mine replaced)... Definitely recommend and definitely visiting again.
We were recommended to come to this place and our first visit was a treat. The food is cooked wonderfully and you have a good choice of sauces and spice levels and they are happy to advise. The fact that you can create carnage on the table , wear a bib and eat with your hands is a fun way to tackle a meal. You can bring your own wine which is a bonus and soft drinks are very reasonable for the driver in the group. The only minor gripe is that if the people in front of your booking don't finish on time, you can be waiting in what is a small space so plan to arrive bang on time and there shouldn't be an issue. We both loved it and will definitely be back for some more mess and crab smashing. Highly recommended .

Excellent place, amazing service and even more amazing food. Dine for the experience of eating fresh seafood steamed in a bag full of flavour. You dont need plates or cutlery its simply not one of those places as you should expect of a place that sells fresh crab! You will walk out of the restaurant in disbelief that you are actually in Rayners Lane! Amazing food!

Loved this place for the amazing crabs. Usually go for the local brown crabs in medium shabang with a handful of mussels in the sides. Last week I tried the Blue Swimmer Crab which was great too. The only disappointment in my last order was that the they have considerably reduced the amount of sauce compared to earlier portions given.
This restaurant is our go-to-place when we have a seafood lover visiting. It's small but the service is prompt, the ambience decent and the staff is warm. The food is great, which is the most important factor. I've had trouble getting a table here in the past and it's always full when we've dining here. I think that says it all.
If you are into seafood this is the place to be eating. A very small restaurant with a big heart. Ordered the crab,lobster the full shabang as they call it. Both were mouth watering. The clams and prawns were to die for too. Average ambience but good service and well priced

You will need to book a table as its a small place with limited seating. The manager/ chef greeted us when we entered and made us feel very comfortable.
Being a huge crab fan, I am extremely happy with the food and would definitely go back again for the crab in special sauce!!
I went to the fat crab today for my husbands birthday, the food was truly amazing.
. This was the best lobster and prawns, etc. I have had in a long time, the flavours were to die for, and the service was brilliant, I will go back again, very soon. highly recommended, try it especially if you are a sea food lover.
The fat crab is amazing!!!! Flavours amazing, service quick and easy. Its small in shop size but you don't care once you start eating!! Enjoyed making a mess will definitely come back!! Need to open another restaurant boutique size spitalfields or shoreditch or wherever!! They were brilliant and staff are very nice
Wow! This new establishment puts many places in soho to shame ! Fresh Live crabs , prawns , lobster , clams ...all cooked amazingly well. Fried or in the bag, served to you on the table . No plates. If you like seafood , this is the BEST place in London. I can't wait to go back .
Been meaning to try the Fat Crab for about 2 years - had takeaway Lobster and Soft-shell Crab - both were excellent. Lemon pepper fries and sweet potato fries also very good. I collected the order, it was ready at the time suggested when I phoned the order in and well packaged up for drive home. Would definitely recommend for seafood lovers.

A really lovely cosy restaurant. The food was really flavoursome. We ordered the blue Sri Lankan crab, 18 medium prawns, and fries. Everything was really yummy. The service was great, and the staff were really attentive.
If I could say one thing, that would be I hope in the near future they can make the restaurant a little bigger as it can feel a little congestive when in full service. Other than that, amazing restaurant and food. Definitely going there again.
Great place to eat been here a few times and allways loved it the fish is fresh and the sauce are amazing, only issue the restaurant is a bit small I believe 4 tables well worth the wait prices are slightly expensive but the quality is amazing look to spend around £70/100 for 2 people with drinks
The place is very cozy despite it is a small restaurant, food was very delicious, the service was superbe especially a lovely lady called Omima who has a warm welcome and she thaught me how to eat Crab. I highly recommend this restaurant

We had to park the car along a near by road since the place doesnt have a dedicated parking space.
The food is amazing. We tried different types of crab and all tasted very good. You have be ready to get messy if you want to try good crab meat.
It is recommended to call and make a reservation since there was limited seating.
Would definitely go again.
Dinner in a plastic bag, 😁, one of those unique culinary experiences you must try. No cutlery needed just hands and about an hour to get through all the crab and lobster. Enjoy 😋
Been meaning to Visit for a while, my partner craved lobster so seemed ideal. We ordered the meal deal (2 Lobsters, 2 sides - Cajun Chips & Corn, 2 soft drinks) plus 1/2 lbs of Tail on Prawns in variety of sauces (I preferred cajun of all) totalling £74. Both shellfish were quality, soft and juicy but we did just both generally favour the prawns rather than lobster due to personal preference, will order more prawns and perhaps crab next time and add potatoes. Staff were attentive and we booked prior to arrival to avoid disappointment as there were only a handful of tables. I loved that you could items to bag (corn, white/sweet potato) Two minor pet peeves - mayonnaise/ketchup were in sachets only and the corn had no taste, I do not think it was fresh which was a shame otherwise a great place and will be back.

I had a proper craving for the crawfish, and the only place I could find without venturing into town was the Harrow branch.
What I recommend is the 1 kg crawfish 🦞 medium spicy corn and sweet potato with shabang sauce in the bag!!! Omg what a delight. It was the tastiest crawfish I ever had, the whole bag mix was tasty and I recommend peeling the crawfish then setting it at the bottom of the bag so it retains the juices !!!

My family and I come here at least once a year - the food is incredible, fresh, and succulent. The flavours they offer for sauces are unmatched and the experience overall is fantastic. Staff are attentive and friendly, and price is very fair for the quality and breadth of seafood on offer. Cannot recommend this place enough - prepare to get messy!
