Just been to pick up a granary and a date & walnut loaf...I'm in bread heaven!! The smell of it in the car had my mouth watering all the way home so had to have some as soon as I got in and I wasn't disappointed as they tasted even better. Just enough salt and a gorgeous flavour with the granary and the date & walnut has an amazing slight sweetness and loads of walnuts and dates inside. Both have that to die for crustiness you only get with freshly baked bread and each such a generous size too. Well done, top marks :)
I tried the new delivery service today & had an amazing salad box, great portion size at a very reasonable price, fresh & healthy. All delivered to my desk.
First visit today gorgeous chocolate bread, heavenly lemon drizzle cake and the family all loved the focaccia with our risotto for tea
Just found the bakery online and went over there. Harrogate is short on artisan bakeries, and this looked good. The wholewheat sourdough and cheese breads I tried were really, really good. Will become a regular customer for sure.
Both the sausage and the bacon sandwiches are delicious! The bread is fantastic and we always like trying something new. Staff are friendly to boot! Perfect little bakery just round the corner.
First visit to the Secret Bakery today in the new shop. The cheese and caramelised onion bread was gorgeous as my work colleagues can all attest to. Can't wait to try another flavour although will be keeping the next one all to myself.
Highly recommend! Lovely bread and simply the best sausage rolls I've ever tasted.

Oh my goodness !! This was my first visit today after a recommendation from a friend. Absolutely fabulous delicious bread . Today we tried chocolate bread and cheesy bread ... and I also managed a taste of focaccia... divine . Won't be my last visit either . Can thoroughly recommend. Place your orders people . Vx

Popped in for a coffee and ended up having breakfast sandwiches too. Lovely little independent bakery with good coffee and options of toasted and untoasted sandwiches, pastries and cakes. Selection of bread including sourdough. Limited seating space inside, but there are also a few tables and chairs outside, but not that practical in the winter or UK weather most of the year! Cosy cafe but no toilet facilities.
What a lovely locally owned business. Great food and very friendly. They make their own bread which is 1st class as are the sandwich fillings and cake. Let's not forget the coffee. A delicious flat white is always on the menu for me.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Highly recommend.

Update 2024 Sept 30 - This place continues to be awesome. Popped in for a coffee and pastrami sandwich , both were sublime. If you’ve got the time and don’t mind a small premium (nhs and blue badge discount available) then this place is a must. oh and do your best not to be tempted by the cakes/cookies just looking at them is too tempting.
Final note they do offer a “club card” to get a free coffee.
I popped in randomly as I was passing and had the coronation chicken sandwich with salad on the seeded loaf. It was lovely, both the filling and bread was superb. Next time I visit I'll pick up a whole loaf to take home.
A lovely little café serving breakfast/lunch menu. We had croissants and Lady Grey tea - very fresh and tasted lovely, price was very reasonable and the staff were also super friendly and attentive. The other baked breads and cakes looked super yummy, would definitely return again when we're in the area.
A random google search ("harrogate bakery") led us here in search of food supplies for a long drive to London. Excellent (and huge!) cheese and chutney sandwiches and a couple of first-rate flapjacks made us glad we stopped.
Great selection and top quality bread. Tasty sandwiches, especially the pastrami. We go from Leeds twice a month. It is absolutely worth it.

This is a cute bakery to grab all things freshly baked. Try their full range of traditional sandwiches. Those looking for something a little more exotic. The falafel filling will fill yer boots.
Really nice, friendly spot. Staff were very helpful choosing a mixed selection of cakes for me. They also wrapped and boxed the cakes.

Came for an afternoon bite to takeaway. Very accommodating for vegan options, nothing was a problem! Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Sandwiches were delicious and such a treat to have. Coffee was really great 👍 would recommend
Nice independent bakery. Plenty of filling in the sandwiches, and very pleasant staff too.
Great types of bread. Acceptable prices. The seeded bread was so tasty we are considering of going to Harrogate only for this bread. You can enjoy excellent toasts sitting inside. The seating space is small, but there are a few tables and chsirs outside, when the weather allows.
Fantastic bakery. We go from time to time from Leeds. All bread is exquisite but mention apart to the 5 seeds, and the marmite and cheese. It's worth saying that brunch options are de delicious.

Popped in to get some bread and they'd almost completely sold out... except for a loaf of 5 seeds granary. Bought it and it's fantastic - a real treat. Very glad to have this bakery nearby and will definitely visit again.

My husband ordered two fabulous sandwiches on sourdough and a delicious huge chocolate cookie whilst I was having a scan in Harrogate Hospital - what a treat to come out to.
This bakery is amazing, it's my happy place ,the energy of staff is incredible, always give you a boost with their kindness and service. And the loaves and sandwiches! Best yet, brie, onion chutney on 5 seed loaf!
