As always, our evening at Sasso was top notch. The service is, without exception, fantastic. The food is to die for....high end Italian. This restaurant is probably the best in Harrogate, and, one of Harrogate’s best kept secrets.
My Swedish friends first visit to our lovely town and because of the things I'd told them about Sassos they insisted that we visit ! They loved it as did I ,my first evening visit ,I usually go for lunch ,the staff are always friendly and professional, they have time for you even when rushed off their feet as they were last night ,great menu ! I had lobster ravioli in lobster bisque stunning and breaded calves livers wonderful! Thanks for making my friends so welcome ,it made their trip even more special! See you soon

Fabulous authentic Italian food. The best! Just like as if in Italy! From starter to dulce is devine. The chocolate terrine is to die for.
My wife & l had our wedding anniversary meal here last night & it was superb.
I am an independent taxi driver in the town & was recommended to this place by an Italian customer who told me in his opinion it was the best Italian restaurant in Harrogate.
Now if any of my customers ask me to recommend a great Italian restaurant l tell them to try Sassos.
My husband and I decided last minute to try Sasso for a meal on Saturday night - Dom and the team were keen to oblige. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited for a table - then we tucked into the most delicious bowl of freshly made pasta, a bottle of Gavi, followed by a semi-freddo desert and a couple of coffees. Sasso was buzzing, there was a great atmosphere and the food really was excellent, we couldn't fault it. Can't recommend it enough - we had a lovely evening and will return. PS it was also brilliant value of money.
My son took me here for my birthday and Mother's Day, one of my favourites. Nice atmosphere, good service and delicious food, the lobster ravioli is particularly delicious
Ate here valentines night 2017 booked online with ease a few weeks in advance
Sassos has a lovely vibe when u walk in
We were greeted and shown to our table they unusually had us sitting next to each other and facing another couple at another table we requested another table as we felt odd sitting like this.
This was no problem to our server and we got a table where we were facing each other, our drinks arrived promptly and our order taken.
The food arrived and it was Devine, would thoroughly recommend this lovely Italian in harrogate its central but we needed to ask for directions as it's in the basement of an office block
Found Sasso by chance just wandering round Harrogate looking for a place to eat. What a little gem!! Great food, excellent service and well worth a return visit (or 3!!)
Great staff and great italian food, almost like in Italy. ONE of the best restaurant in the area
Only had an hour for lunch and was amazed at the service and presentation of the dishes. Great value for delicious food!
Great atmosphere & able to cater for me gluten free with ease....so impressed 🥂😄
Sasso is an Italian restaurant on Prince's Square in Harrogate. Accessed from the road down a couple of short flights of steps, Sasso has both a lunch and dinner menu. On a chilly winter's evening, we were looking for authentic Italian cuisine, and on entering the restaurant we were given a warm welcome by the genial owner. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, and was only about a third full when we left, this meant it lacked a bit of atmosphere, I suspect that at a weekend, Sasso would be packed. The food more than made up for it though, as we perused the menu, classic tunes from artists like the Bee Gees played on a loop. The menu had a fantastic variety of dishes, almost an impossible choice, but in the end we started with Bruschetta to share, that came with green and black olives, fresh tomatoes with pepper, olive oil and balsamic, with a roasted garlic bulb. A good selection of complimentary flavours, the strong garlic cloves melted like butter!
Mains wise, so many tempting dishes with wonderful ingredients, I'm sure we'll return to sample more. My wife went for the Angel Hair spaghetti, with sliced aubergines and a rich tomato sauce, a great dish but the cheese layered on the aubergines overwhelmed their flavour somewhat. I went for the homemade pasta tubes with chicken and pancetta, in a cheese and curry sauce! I know it doesn't sound right, but the owner assured me I'd made a good choice, and he was right. The curry flavour was subtle and the whole mix of ingredients worked perfectly, a hugely impressive bowl of food. We did order a side of roasted vegetables, with basil pesto, lovely, but not necessary, the mains were huge, as well as flavoursome.
Both of us were on the full side, we could have stopped after the mains, but there's always room for a dessert. The chocolate terrine with coffee crème anglais was rich and tasty, and my wife's homemade lemon tart with limoncello sorbet was just as impressive. A great meal, just what we wanted, I'm just glad that the walk back to the hotel helped allay my feeling of fullness somewhat though.
Harrogate best Italian!!. I have visited Sasso several time and have always found food service and wine excellent. There's loads of choice and the food is great quality freshly prepared authentic italian!!Try the lamb meatballs I`m addicted.Definitely worth a visit!!!
Always wonderful food and service, however the interior does need a face lift.
Great spot for their lunch set menu offer...really good food a d wine
Brilliant meal at Sasso tonight. Food quality is always exceptional and tonight was no different. Please don’t try the aubergine parmagano - I want all for myself!!! If you haven’t already tried Sasso, you definitely should.
Highly recommended. We got in just before closing and very glad we did. Excellent food, staff very friendly and service great. Will be back
Amazing food, excellent service. Would definitely recommend a visit
Excellent meal as always, so tasty and exquisitely presented. Great service, just a lovely place to go for a good meal and a catch up with family. Early doors (5.30) suited us well. Thankyou to all staff!
A lovely evening celebrating my wife's birthday at this family run Italian restaurant. Freshly made pasta dishes thoroughly recommended. Service very good.

I am not a foodie in any way but I do like pasta and I have to say the food the service and the wine were exceptional. I would not eat anywhere else in Harrogate
Lovely place. The art on the walls was beautiful. The food was excellent

Lovely restaurant, great food great service who could ask for more
A superb meal out, top quality and an excellent value fixie-prixie 😉
The most genuine taste of Italian food, far away from Home. Very very very recommend 🙏🏻
A really nice dinner- great quality and well cooked food- a large range of dishes to choose from and all of them super authentic. All 3 courses I had were excellent. Only complaint is the textured plate which made it hard to scrape all the sauce!
Very nice food, friendly staff.
Great food and good service to everyone who likes food lovely staff wow
