Very nice staff and tasty carrot cake. The tea was quite nice. I'll bring my friends round when they come to visit.
Best cafe ever with amazing staff and the best owner ever
Kathryn at Palm Court made the most wonderful cake for my daughters christening. Not only was it just beautiful it tasted amazing and everyone at the christening commented on it. Highly recommended to all
A charming and traditional tea shop with the most delicious fruit loaf I've ever had.
I won a free meal here on Stray FM and it was delicious! Great food - lovely cakes x
Really nice friendly helpful staff and cater really well for Coeliacs. Also very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again next time we're in the area

The café is upstairs on the floor above the shop. Quiet, genteel oasis. Friendly service. Very clean café. Homemade and gluten free options. Milk alternatives available. I had a pot of Yorkshire tea with homemade treacle tart served with pouring/clotted cream. Nicely presented. It was a very reasonable £5.25 in total. The well stocked shop downstairs has an extensive range of goodies and gifts too numerous to mention, but all enticing, trust me! Yes, I would revisit.
It's a nice tearoom friendly staff I had a ham sandwich with side salad which was really nice and a decaf mocha one of the best I had. Reasonable prices. Will definitely go back.
Lovely place, nice shop ground floor, good tea, nice cake, reasonable price, friendly staff, nothing to dislike
Lovely food, very attentive staff and very prompt service.
Very pleasant experience all round.
Well done 👍🏼
Lovely, quaint little cafe with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The drinks and food were very good and served with a smile. Was a lovely place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink, Would recommend.
Very nice and cosy place. Awesome cakes and teas. You can also eat lunch. Service is so polite and smile.
Like an old Lyons café, so just perfect. Three cups of tea and a huge slice of treacle tart for £3.95? Yep. Amazing! Bye bye Costa.
What a lovely traditional place. Old fashioned toffee shop downstairs and a very good cafe upstairs. Highly recommended.
The café and the sweet shop are not the same. The café was lovely and the food was delicious and the staff are lovely. There wasn't a particularly welcoming vibe but that isn't the cafe's fault as they did their best. Definitely recommend the special

Second time I have been for a meet up with my Facebook group friends. I had jacket potato and tuna bayou plus 2 flat white coffees. Reasonable prices, clean, good service snd food.
The cafe and the sweet shop Farrah’s are l the best kept secret in Harrogate. It’s just as good as Betty’s, but without the expensive image. If you want the highest quality in a homely atmosphere, go for Palm Court Cafe and the sweet shop.
Delightfully old fashioned tearoom, very spa town! Service excellent and attentive. Shame about no toasted teacake on the menu but scone was more than adequate as a sub. You've got to be able to manage steps, however.
Great cafe, food is all home cooked and delicious. The scones are lovely and the lemon cake and carrot cake are extremely yummy. We had Yorkshire rarebit which was also good. The portions are very good. There are two floors, both of which have a flight of stairs as access. Good washrooms (1 on each floor). If you are on the top floor you will need to choose your table and what you want to eat then go back down and give your order and pay. It wasn't always this way, unfortunately there have been a few people who left without paying. On the positive side, it's your exercise for the day!
We had a lovely soup and sandwich for lunch. Soup was home made and very tasty.the sandwich was generously filled with thickly sliced cheese and chutney. I would have loved to try one of their homemade cakes but was too full. I will next time.Very friendly service too. Well done ladies !
I went in here, on my own before attending an appointment close by. I was worried I'd feel odd, sitting at a table on my own whilst others around me were sat together. I needn't have worried, I didn't feel awkward , the staff were friendly and helpful, plus I felt very comfortable here. The food is lovely, the service is efficient and I shall definitely visit again. Thankyou.
Great place and very accommodating, been to Palm Court a few times. You are always greeted with a smile and a hello, the staff bend over backwards to ensure you are happy and comfortable. The Yorkshire rarebit and Victoria sponge were amazing. A superb independent cafe
Great little place, initially discovered whilst fleeing the impressive queue outside Bettys but somewhere we return to for a proper lunch at very competitive prices. Service very good and while there is often a queue up the steps it moves quickly.
A dedicated kids menu would be nice but they are happy to adjust items to meet your needs.
The soup and sandwich deal at £6.50 is an absolute bargain.
Excellent food..nicely served although had to wait a while. I felt very sorry for the gentleman next to me who ordered a scone and a hot drink. He got his drink about 15 minutes before the scone arrived! When he complained to the waitress she dismissed him by saying that's how it works here!! Poor training! I spoke to the manager who said she had not been told but her manner was not very apologetic!! She did say she was understaffed but this is not an excuse for a scone!!
Our food was top notch. Ham sandwich was beautifully presented with delicious local ham. My soup was gorgeous!
Lovely sunny room. Plenty of space between tables. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. My fruit loaf was so moist and fresh. I truly enjoyed it.
