The Travellers Rest Pub & Restaurant - Harrogate - Photo album

Used to come here years and years ago but it ‘went downhill’ in our opinion so we stopped going.. but went back the other days and it was absolutely top notch. Great food and ales , friendly and quick service .
We stayed over in our campers. The pub was lovely clean and full of charming characters. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. They had a good choice in drinks and food. The food was absolutely beautiful and fab size portions good variety of meals. I had the steak and ale pie an
We had Sunday lunch at The Travellers Rest today after travelling up to Harrogate from Leicester. We phoned on the spur to see if there was any vacancies and we were told we could go straight away . It’s a lovely oldy worldy pub with an extension at the rear, very cosy. The staff were very welcomin
Wow...what a place. Beautiful old pub...set in a lovely location. The staff was amazing and very welcoming ...especially our dog minnie offering her treats. The food was faultless. I had the Beef cheek ..amazing. My better half had the haddock and chips...we both sampled each others. Top marks again
Tucked away down a very quiet land, this is an unpretentious, very traditional, family run pub. You do not come here for safe painted walls, a vast selection of craft beers, or gastro-pub style food on slate plates. You *do* get a warm welcome and solidly good service with a personal touch. I wanted
Lovely meal and great atmosphere. From the time of booking the staff worked to accommodate our needs - a person who is coeliac and another who is hearing impaired. Really helpful and they did everything they could to make it work well. On the night two of our guests were very late, delayed on a lon
Amazing pub food, presented superbly. Lovely staff and very dog friendly!
Great find, down a narrow little lane. Stayed overnight in the car park in the motorhome (levelling blocks required, quite a slope!). Great staff and amazing food, great value. New outside seating area. Inside a real quirky old 17th century inn with nooks and crannies. Lovely views over towards Rudd
The most delicious, home cooked pub fare in a lovely ancient quirky oak beamed pub. None of your fancy gastropub stuff, just generous portions, beautifully cooked. I think the steak pie may actually be better than the one I make myself, which is an absolute first. Fabulous, thank you.
6 of us booked in yesterday. Nice size car park and very dog friendly. Good choice of food but the drinks are overpriced. 3.55 for a pint coke / lemonade and 6.15 for an orchard draught cider and 6.15 for draught moretti. Most expensive pint I've had yet. Still you live n learn. Bill for 6 with fo
Beautiful old pub with modern extension and sun trap beer garden. Very friendly staff. We had Lasagna homemade Ploughmans Large coke Small coke 2 half shandys 34 quid. The pictures speak for themselves. The food was top notch. Ploughman's was the best I have ever had. Thick slabs of ham and huge
Booked for Sunday lunch. All staff extremely helpful & polite. Lovely menu with a great choice & 'the special menu' was equally as good (chicken..1st photo) The food was hot with generous portions & very tasty. Onion rings...best we have had & Sunday roast beef dinner was delicious. Will be back.
This great pub is a little off the beaten track, but we'll worth the effort to find. The staff were quick to acknowledge us and served quick, as quick as the food came to our table. The food was piping hot and good portions although my wife felt there could have been a little more Veg in her small b
Fantastic steak pie, chips & gravy... Meat was tender and falls apart also homemade chips are nicely cooked and the gravey was tasty. My daughter had lasagna & chips which she says was delicious. All portions were decent in size too. Could do with turning the heating up a little more as it was a bi
Gorgeous little pub, so glad we found it, the Sunday roasts were amazing and huge! Big homemade Yorkshire puddings and the meat was really good quality. We sat in the conservatory which had a lovely view, really nice atmosphere. Dog friendly and the prices are really reasonable too. Great kids menu
Nice quiet country location. Good well presented food and adequate portions. We visited in the snow but there is also a beer garden that is lovely on sunny days.
Absolutely fantastic little gem! Rustic old pub, with a real log fire. Staff couldn't be better, dogs are welcome. Food is top notch, lots of veg and salad. Nice to see a good variety for a change, i had peas, green beans, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli with my steak pie. Plenty of tender meat. W
