A friendly welcome was the first thing we noticed; then came a glance at the menu (we’d only popped by for a drink), which was too irresistible so we decided to stay for dinner. The Brie burger was absolutely fantastic - so chunky and meaty. The chicken with sauce was divine; just as described. The pub is pleasantly decorated and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a fantastic, welcoming pub, our party of 7 had a brilliant Sunday lunch, nothing was too much trouble, we were welcomed by the lovely Steve and Lisa, the Royal Oak has been tastefully redecorated, making the most of all the traditional features. So many pubs nowadays feel the need to become characterless. The roaring fire immediatley made you feel at home. A fantastic selection of beers and lagers, and for me the essential array of gins, they know how to serve a good gin! We all had starters and mains, nobody was disappointed, everything arrived beautifully presented and piping hot. They have obviously got a great chef and team behind the scenes as well. The wine kept flowing and we all had a fantastic afternoon. Good luck to you both, you make a fabulous team.

Fab pub, and fab grub, but what really makes it great is the genuinely friendly and welcoming nature of the people who work there and the owner. We felt like locals from the very first visit.

We used to go to this pub a lot when we had family in the village. Went back last night for a few drinks before a party and it was so nice! Really cosy n ready for christmas and the service was great and had a really nice time. Loved it and love that it is so welcoming. Cant wait to go back for sunday lunch with our girls! Food looks so good, we just had chips but they were good!

Great little pub. Nicely decorated with friendly staff. Larger was fine. Visited as the venue for food after a tennis league match. So didn't really get a chance to eat there properly. However based on my brief visit think it would be well worth taking the missus or whole family to visit again.

Lovely pub with enclosed beer garden behind the pub for dog to run around in. Ordered shared fish platter for £20. Worth every penny...delicious. (The landlord joked it would be a life changing experience). Very friendly and hospitable. Thoroughly recommend this place.

An amazing Sunday roast, best one I’ve had in a long while. The apple crumble was also incredible. Can’t wait to go back again!

Gorgeous village pub. We had a huge sharer platter that really filled us up to bursting. Drinks are well priced and the landlord's a nice chap. Glad it's our new local

This is the best of British pubs. It is what puts the GREAT in Great Britain and I am proud to be a (fairly) local patron. Great decor, atmosphere, with a range of Tetleys and Theakstons cask ales and good lagers on tap. The food made by Rich the chef is outstanding and very reasonably priced. Steve & Lisa deserve to be successful in this venture. Go on! Go and support them. You will not be disappointed!

Had lunch after a walk with my mother. Nice pleasant pub friendly staff and the food was simple but lovely. Had smoked salmon and soft cheese baguette.
