We were on the same table for 7 mentioned on previous review & completely disagree! Of course people are entitled to their own opinion & possibly the place & food just wasn't for them. We've eaten at Stuzzi on many occasions & as always we really enjoyed the authentic Italian food, atmosphere & friendly service, as have most people we know that have been there too. On this occasion as we were a larger table they brought a selection of food from the menu chosen for us & whilst this may not be my preferred way of ordering, it did make a change, was very sociable & we certainly left feeling well fed & had a really enjoyable evening. As with most restaurants, wine & other alcohol choices can quickly inflate the bill if you're not careful!
We visited on Friday lunchtime after a friends recommendation. Food was amazing, good service and great beer too. For starters, we shared the mixed meat/cheese platter and fresh bread. Then for mains we both had a pasta dish, which was cooked to perfection. Would recommend to anyone to visit this restaurant when in Harrogate! Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place the menu concept is just perfect for a family/friends get together along with delicious food all in all a great place - would love to go back & would have no hesitation recommending to anyone
I liked the place - young, engaging, amiable and knowledgable staff: interesting and comprehensive menu: an extensive cellar: and good food. I enjoyed it very much.
We had a party of six last Saturday at 815...place was humming and we were impressed how promptly we were seated. Very affable host came and explained the menu...freshly done every day and not at all easy to follow for a novice. His recommendations and help for gluten intolerant friend were very useful and we all shared platters and mains with some amazing tastes....I had some squid for first time ever...yummy!! Would definitely recommend for a meal with a difference. My only criticism would be the music, whilst some ace tunes were played it really was a bit too loud for my liking as I couldn't hear my friends conversations very well at all.
Awesome selection of authentic Italian food, even better cracking wine list (could drink it all!) And extremely attentive staff... defiantly will be back for more!!!!
Stunning food and spot on service! We tried nearly all the dishes as a party of 4 and not one disappointed! Would highly recommend 👌🏻
Fantastic food with service that is the best I've had. Attentive waiters who are obviously passionate about what they do! Well worth a visit!
Shortlisted this restaurant for our weekend visit to Harrogate and were very happy we did. The food is much more imaginative, flavoursome and fresh than your run of the mill trattoria. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant has a wonderful contemporary and quirky vibe, reflected in the decor. You will not struggle to find a really good bottle of wine to accompany your meal. We chose the best value red which was light and fruity - as we wanted - and accompanied the food perfectly. Sadly, we were too full to enjoy dessert but they have a great selection. Standout dishes were the antipasti tart, supper light focaccia, broccoli with feta and harissa creme fraiche dressing and the beef pappardelle which was rich and hearty. All in we spent around £30 per head with service charge.
such lovely food and gorgeously presented, really lovely and comfy setting and our waitress (el) was extremely accommodating, lovely and helpful, would definitely recommend :)
Food was absolutely amazing, we tried most of the small plates and everything was spot on 👌
Exceptionally nice Italian food, served in a friendly atmosphere.
This place was recommended many times for its unusual menu. The bonus being that it allowed dogs. The staff were very enthusiastic and informative.
Delicious and unusual food. Small menu. Lovely atmosphere and service. Veggie options still plentiful despite small menu.
Beautiful unique restaurant with a very special menu which all appear to be a ‘home made style’ twist on orthodox Italian style food to which we have become accustomed.
On the sunny afternoon that we arrived we were seated in the outside area and treated by the respectful young staff professionally and the dishes were explained in a way that we easily understood.
Our dishes were gorgeous, fresh and vibrant and this extended to the following sweet menu too
We’ll be back
Super friendly staff I needed a changing table and the waiter offered a space upstairs. The food is not your typical menu I'd suggest coming here with friends to try out new ingredients. The menu portion is similar to tapas and is excellent for sharing
Great flavours, often with a little twist (e.g. cinnamon tagliatelle with pig head). Great drinks too (thoroughly recommend the Stuzzi-made gin). Dessert platter also gives you a little bit of everything, incl. your own choice of ice cream.
Six years ago we tried Stuzzi for the first time and were amazed with the food and appreciated the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff team. Today was only our second visit and we were every bit as impressed. The menu is quite limited, but with such quality and flavour that wasn't a problem, I'm sure any choice would be enjoyable. All three courses were flavoursome, freshly prepared and well presented. Apart from the antipasti first course, the tapas style main course dishes were not ones we'd seen before, but each were outright winners. The arancini with a hint of fennel and chilli, the bucatini with ox cheek and the squash on puff pastry with a light creamy, cheesy and truffle sauce.
Wish we could visit more often.
Recommend by my sister in-law!
Stuzzi is a very quaint energetic place with more wine than Maynards Bassets and more cheese than a Swiss Fondü.
A truly unique restaurant with a small but packed menu. The staff are just great, they really give the restaurant the great atmosphere that you can hear from the outside.
Although they do not cater to allergens… so if you’re fussy, they ain’t gonna fuss.

The food was just incredible. Everything hot (apart from the cold dishes 👀). Everything delicious. Everything filling.
The focaccia was warm, soft and crispy. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The Arancini was amazing.
Honestly it seems expensive for what it is, but I’ve spent more elsewhere and left hungry. I’m absolutely stuffed for there. The portions are generous.
Loved having a sing along with the staff at close.
I also love how unashamed they are to tell customers No! No changes!
Visited stuzzi on a weekend break in Harrogate. Sardinian restaurant specialising in small plates....but very good portions! So pleased that we booked - the food was delicious, the arancini balls are a must have - there are no words for the lovely cheesy centre! Lovely atmosphere, families, couples and celebrations all around us. Inside and outdoor dining available. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, best service I have experienced in a long time. The fish was outstanding and the freshly baked bread could be a meal in itself. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.
I visited on my own as I was staying in the area. I was blown away. The food was delicious, every dish I had was very exceptional. Very different to what I have had before. The staff are all very friendly. I didn't want my meal to end and will definitely visit again when I'm in the area. This restaurant is a must.
Came here for my birthday last week and absolutely loved it - we’d had recommendations for the Leeds one but couldn’t get in there so decided to book the Harrogate one. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was fantastic!
Between two of us we shared an arancino starter and fried seafood. We absolutely adored the arancino which was £4, but the seafood one for £16 did pale a bit in comparison. It was nice, but I think we both felt we would rather have just ordered more arancino! For mains it is recommended you share, however I don’t eat meat and my partner does so we opted to just have our own. I had a mushroom truffle pasta and it was absolutely delicious.
Definitely would recommend this place and hope to visit again!
Excellent food in a relaxed place.
We went for my first Fathers Day and we were really impressed. Although the menu was quite limited ok the day, and they had run out of Porchetta unfortunately, we had a really great time.
The mussels in a lobster and nduja bisque with focaccia was so tasty. The mussels were tender and cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and deep.
The pappardelle ragu was rich and perfectly seasoned. The pasta was Al dente. Perfetta.
We ended up getting the T-bone steak (because the porchetta has run out). While it was 4 times the price it was outstanding. Cooked sous vide and then grilled, every morsel was perfect and tasty. Along with the potatoes with pancetta and a cheese sauce, and the carrots cooked in nduja with nuts, it really was a meal to remember.
We had a nice bottle of Sangiovese too. The service was really friendly and quick. The place has a good atmosphere. We sat in the outside patio bit and it was a nice day. Overall a fantastic time was had. Will. Be. Back. 👌
Visited with a small group of friends celebrating my birthday on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was buzzing. Stuzzi was recommended to me by a number of people and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The staff were the perfect mix of friendly and attentive, whilst leaving you to enjoy the experience. The food was all divine but honourable mentions go to the arancini and bruschetta. The spritz cocktails with different Italian liqueurs were fantastic, and having a whole menu of negronis was the cherry on top. A 10/10 from all angles. Thanks Stuzzi, we'll be back!
Came here on a Wednesday early evening for a lovely dinner and drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful, the space was casual and smart with plenty of room between tables. We chose 5 plates - 3 savoury and 2 desserts and they were all amazing. The zucchini flower was a highlight though do note you get 1 piece for £9. The ribs were tender and spiced well and the arancini as good as Italy too!
Very pleasant Sunday lunch and the Sunday Roasts were fantastic. Having ordered the beef which was served very pink indeed, I asked for a little more cooking which they were very happy to do and added more sides to compliment (free of charge). Highly recommend Stuzzi. We will be back.
First time visiting, menu was very small not many options for someone who doesn’t eat fish, it was a cool little spot I liked how it was a chilled vibe, we were a big group and they did a great job serving all the food at the same time, I chose the pasta and it was so tasty could have had a hint of spice to make it perfect but I was very impressed.
