I had the absolute pleasure of the carvery here on a short visit. The staff were superb, super helpful and friendly, and an absolute credit to themselves and the restaurant.
The chef clearly has a lot of pride in his work as he spoke about it with enthusiasm, and this showed in the quality of the food.
There is a giant sign statement that this is the best carvery in Yorkshire, and I think they may well live up to that brag!
It was also extremely reasonably priced. The only fault I can pick is one that a fee places seem to do in the area, it os £6 a pint, which is just mental.
I stayed overnight on business and had a great stay. Room was lovely and spacious. The carvery was superb and the team was excellent. For business it was also a massive saving on staying in central Harrogate. Highly recommended and would stay again.
Seated very quickly, went to be served at the carvery, no waiting and served very ably by a young man. Plenty of choice of vegetables and a delicious hot gravy. Finished off with a Brilliant "Sticky toffee pudding. Well done to the team and Thankyou.
Gorgeous Carvery, Yorkshire puds are amazing. Dom the chef is fantastic and so friendly. All the team are brilliant. Great food and great service 9/10 I'd give it 10 out of 10 if they'd do cauliflower cheese or red cabbage ha 😉

Wonderful food. Went Saturday and Sunday, the staff are friendly. The carvery was amazing both times.
Large car park and easy access on A59.
Went on Over 55's discounted Thursday night. £8.95 for carvery.
Choice of turkey and pork. Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes, carrots and parsnips, broccoli and green beans.
Also option for fish or casserole.
A vat of delicious gravy and all sauces you could imagine I.e. horseradish, mint, apple, mustard etc.
We then shared a sticky toffee pudding with cream.
Absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
Will be back soon.
Came here with my friends for a carvery. Plenty of parking and friendly staff who will have a chat with you. Food also lovely, one of the best carvery beef's I ever had. Deserts are well worth the money too. Big portions, so much I couldn't finish all of my food.
Coming over again on Saturday and I cant wait.

We are regulars at the Thursday carvery and can only say the quality and value are unbeatable for those prices. The meats and veg are always cooked to the same high standard and the desserts equally so. Drinks are also competitively priced. Comfortable surroundings, a big car park, very helpful staff - what's not to like.
We go for the carvery which is always a great meal, the staff are very friendly and professional, we are guaranteed a pleasant evening here.

5 of us for Sunday carvery, 3 gluten free. GF desserts but no yorkshire puddings, bit disappointing. Excellent value for money, roasted vegs much appreciated, 3 meats, steak pie,chicken dish and a fish dish to choose from. Very busy, you need to book.Will definitely go back.
The sign says “Best Carvery in Yorkshire” which is a bold statement. The George matches this claim with aplomb - an excellent serving of different meats, complimented by perfectly cooked vegetables and lashings of thick tasty gravy. Drinks are well priced and the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Dog friendly too - which is always appreciated!
Our 1st time here for the carvery, arrived late but still plenty of food, the fish was delicious in a creamy sauce, husband had pork which was also delicious. Huge Yorkshire puddings/beans/peas/roast potatoes/mashed potatoes/carrots/parsnips/broccoli and more. Plenty of variety and sauces. Staff were very friendly and helpful, with lightening speed table service. Very clean tables, cutlery etc. Nice atmosphere. We were stuffed full with one serving and couldn't fit a second helping in, never mind dessert! Well worth the cost of £8.95! We will definitely be making this a regular thing.
Dog friendly in the bar side. We had a carvery and had to collect it from the lounge which meant going through 2 doors whilst holding our plates and cutlery. The roast dinner was excellent though and I would recommend it.
