A craft beer bar which also has a large number of craft gins and vodkas. Superb food and an amazing staff who really understand what they have, what you might want and can give some excellent suggestions. Friendly atmosphere and all round fab place to while away a few hours.

Cosy little bar with 12 craft beers on tap, and tons of well known branded cans/bottles in the fridges. We went for after work drinks, was dead around 5 30 on a Wednesday but was lively within a couple of hours, possibly due to quiz night. Recommend the Sumo, as pictured, will go back for the stronger Roadkill.

Great beer selection and very friendly and helpful staff (happy to guide us through the huge list of beers available)!! The place has a cool vibe and two nice terraces: one outside and one covered. They also have food (American pizza) but it is a bit slow to come (if you are a group), it is not amazing but decent for a pub!

Great selection of craft beers but as mentioned below in another review the beers are too cold and a lot of the taste is lost. There was one keg beer on tap which was at a slightly warmer temperature. I would suggest ordering two pints at the same time, that way the second would have reached a warmer temperature when you drink it.

Went for a quick drink early on Saturday evening. The Mad Squirrel brewery makes a wide range of craft beers from milk stout to IPA to Pilsner. This bar carries the complete range along with a handful of guest beers. If you want to sample several beers without getting too drunk they offer half pint, third pint and even two-third pint measures (as well as full pints!). The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the range. They're happy to offer a taste before you commit to a particular beer. For non-beer drinkers they carry some gins and I saw some prosecco but I can't comment on their soft drink selection because we didn't have any! My milk stout was a creamy and sweet with toasty flavours and a little sharpness. The Sumo IPA had lovely grapefruit flavours and the London Porter was good and bitter. Clientele was a healthy mix of young and old, men and women. Once it filled up a bit the atmosphere was good and lively but not too noisy so that conversation was still possible at a reasonable volume. We didn't try the food but it looked fine and I'll be trying it next time we go.

Fantastic choice of beers with a great choice, 15 different ones I think last night. If you like real ales this is the place to go. My only critism would be not the most comfortable chairs to sit on.

Great real ales from Red/Mad Squirrel brewery in Hemel. Great place for a *quiet* pint when they don't have live music on. #oldgit #tooloud

Beers are good with plenty of choice but more of a bar than a pub. Food available.

Interesting and wide selection of beers. Lost a star for serving their cask beer way too cold.
