Very traditional locals’ pub and, although I’m not a regular, I always love the welcome here from the regulars and lovely landlady.
The garden out back is lovely in warmer weather but both of the rooms have open fires in the winter, so something all year round.
I love the brass-inlaid cross keys in the wooden floor as you enter. Also the pewter top in the main bar, hanging tankards, and the second room that looks like your Grandma’s best front parlour! I would have taken more pictures but didn’t want to compromise the regulars’ privacy.
Lovely pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord and, on the occasion of my late Sunday afternoon visit, free cheese & bread on offer.

Great pub! A group of us came in over the Weekend as part of our Pub Golf. The landlady is so lovely!!! (I think her name was Trish). She made us feel so welcome and we would definitely come again :)

Spent a very pleasant Sunday afternoon quaffing a few pints of Side Pocket with friends in comfortable surroundings.
Clientele were suitably amicable and the lady behind the bar was a joy to behold.
Will most certainly visit again.

Cosy pub with a hidden large beer garden - the pub should definitely have a sign outside letting people know of that hidden gem at the back.
Could be a very cool setting with some string lights across the garden at night - maybe a wkd bbq etc.
Another pint or 2 options on tap it would be class.
