We went on tuesday night around 10 pm, the places closes by 11 pm. Wordered keema, chicken curry spicy, tandoori rotis and rice. The keema was well good with great taste like back home, chicken curry was equally good. The portion of the roti was huge. Over all a good experience, the right amount of species, tasty food, really nice and calm ambience and food like home which is hard to find in alot of other places with authentic taste around UK.
This restaurant serves the best Indian food I have tasted. The staff are friendly and the restaurant inside has a great atmosphere to it. It is near all of the hotels including the one we were staying at the The Sheraton therefore was in a very convenient location for us. Definitely will be revisiting before we leave and would strongly recommend everybody to come and eat here.
Stopped over as flying from Heathrow tommorow.
Just wanted to say amazing fresh food, had poppadoms and dips, prawn puree, nan, rice and fish massala. All the food was excellent.
Reasonably priced and only a 5 minute walk from Thistle Hotel.
I can highly recommend Kaniz restaurant
It is a great place to have Indian/Pakistani food. The staff are amazing and the food is very tasty.
Exact Indian taste to veg biryani with sufficient quantity and chilli paneer....also have parking space at the backside of the restaurant..good service
Although the toilet did not thank me for this food, my stomach sure did. Holy moly the food was so damn good.
Came here at like 9:30 PM there were 0 people in the entire restaurant. The food came out in reasonable time, perhaps slightly slow.
I'd like to start with the food. The naan was so bussin. I would def recommend getting the garlic naan. I got some lamb dish that was also bussin. The chicken biryani was my favorite- they must put crack in it with how good it is. The food was wonderful.
One complaint that I have: the restroom. It was less than clean. There were stains on the toilet and it looked simply unkempt.
It just begs the question: why is this restaurant in the most personality-less place in the entire world?
Popped in while on holiday.
Portion size is plentiful, they certainly don't skimp on the amount of meat in the curries, plus the meat is so tender.
Staff were attentive without being too much. Prices are reasonable too.
Will be back next time in the area
The food was delicious and very fast delivery. Vegetarian okra dish & momos were light, nutritious and tasty. Garlic naan is light and not heavy like others from elsewhere. Best Indian and Nepalese I have had in a long time. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere clean and relaxing… no rush to finish the meal.
Staying at the local Premier Inn for the night, we wanted an inexpensive but good quality meal within walking distance. Kaniz ticked both boxes.
Initially opting to take away, we browsed the menu and made a selection, only to find that the set menu was no longer available. After a few minutes making a choice, it was a little frustrating. Crossing through removed menu items would take only a few seconds and save a good amount of time in the ordering process.
We then decided to eat in and selected alternative meals from the menu - although this menu too continued to offer the set menu.
Of the two restaurant staff visible, one (a female) was accommodating, keen to make recommendations from the menu and knowledgable about the dishes on offer. The other (a gentleman) was a little less hospitable - and perhaps a little on the surly side.
Despite being very average from a service point of view, the food was very good. The mixed grill, selection of poppadoms and accompaniments, and naan bread were all lovely.
Going back to service though, one of my biggest restaurant bugbears is when you aren’t asked about the enjoyment of your meal whilst you are eating it. The restaurant wasn’t busy and staff weren’t rushed off of their feet. It should happen in every restaurant every time. Maybe an oversight, maybe the restaurant just didn’t care. But something so small can make the world of difference to a customer.
But on the whole, we were pleased, and will likely return in the future.
Five star rated kitchen and food.
Good ambiance.
Very carefully cooked as they serve all major airline executives and crews.
The tandoori chicken was spot on. Very juicy and succulent lamb chops.
You wouldn't think you can get good Indian food right next to a busy airport. Looking around Heathrow, you wouldn't expect anything nice to be here honestly. But I have to admit, this place is pretty good. It's not a buffet, the food is proper Indian cuisine and it wasn't that expensive either. So if you have some time to spare between flights you can take the free bus and grab some good food. The only issue here is obviously the area it's located in... but if you are close by, worth a visit.
What a lovely place !!! Delicious food, hygienic environment and well behaved staffs. I really enjoyed the surroundings.. highly recommended.
1st time here meeting up with Canadian cousins.
Fantastic place with lovely attentive staff and also did us a couple of dishes that aren't on the menu.
Absolutely delightful. We are from Philadelphia and used to great Indian food. This did not disappoint in the least. Best naan I have ever had. Chicken saag and lamb Roganjosh fresh and full of flavor. Ask for more spice if it is desired. Pretty decor, crisp linens, full bar. Azad was our server, he was fabulous. Highly highly recommend.
If you want a good quality, good value Indian restaurant near to Heathrow this is an excellent choice. It caters for all the tradition British curry favourites and has a good selection of more innovative chefs specials. Portion sizes are generous, I always end up with enough for the next days lunch!
Great food Indian restaurant always happy to visit
As part of a large table of people I was very pleased with all aspects of Kaniz - the restaurant was very clean and well presented, staff attentive with excellent service, food arrived quite promptly and was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.
I will definitely come here again - recommended!
Really nice curry and good value. The Poppadoms were great with lots of sides to have with them. Easy parking outside for a Sunday evening.
