First time I had been to the restaurant and the waitress was really helpful with what they recommend we order. There was a good choice and the food was delicious and they cater for all tastes. A very enjoyable meal and will def be returning.

Wow! What a fantastic restaurant. This is by far the best restaurant for miles! We went here for my husband's birthday and they made it so special. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, exceptional staff, special touches and all at very affordable prices. This will definitely become a firm favourite of ours.

Had a lovely meal this evening. My son really enjoyed the Sushi and the restaurant were very accommodating for my husband. I had a very prompt response when booking the table and finding out what was on the menu.

We ordered the Sushi platter in advance for 2 people to share as a starter. The food, service and drinks are of a high quality. We have enjoyed the restaurant so much that we have visited 3 times this year and we live in London.
We had a dinner with friends and all foods was very good, even was catered for Vegan and Gluten Free person without any problem! Highly recommended!

While not providing an abundant range of Japanese cuisine, Momiji nonetheless offered an excellent night out, and good value for money. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and service was prompt and professional. Prior to booking, they had explained that things might be a little slow due to the presence of some larger parties, but neither myself nor my dinner companions were left waiting.
The menu itself is more limited than you might be used to. The lack of sushi, ramen, okonomiyaki, yakitori etc. could leave some people disappointed, but the taste and quality of the dishes served was superb. In short, if you read the menu ahead of time, and like what you see, you won't be disappointed with your meal. In particular, the tempura was delicious, and the teriyaki was miles ahead of anything you'll find in a jar at home. Just don't expect to find all the classics present.
For an area of the country not known for its Japanese food, Momiji does a great job of offering a warm atmosphere, approachable dishes and good value for money. You'll find very little to dislike here, so it's an easy one to recommend.
Absolutely delicious food. Really good portion sizes for the price and super filling. Very good service, really nice staff and the food arrived faster than I was expecting. I will definitely be coming here again.
What a lovely evening my family had out. The food is beautiful and cooked to the best quality. My family having spent time living in Tokyo said "the food is authentic to what we had in Tokyo". The atmosphere is relaxed but warm and welcoming. The owner charlotte is an excellent host who makes you feel like a family member. We can't wait to return again
There is a lovely ambience in this restaurant. We felt we had plenty of space and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent & it was probably the best sticky toffee pudding we had ever had. The only downside was that dishes were brought out too close together, making us feel very rushed.
Lovely food really enjoyed it, service was very slow we were left waiting for quite a while several times, I think maybe the waitress was new, either way still had a great evening and the food was delicious.

Perfect every time. The food is always amazing and extremely tasty, and the service is superb. We really enjoy our visits whether just stopping by for a pint, having a date night, or picking up a takeaway. I highly recommend.
Dined at Momiji around three weeks ago now, the same night as the negative review in fact. However I must say that our experience was very different. We ordered a couple of drinks on arrival, two Aspall ciders. Then after studying the menus, we placed our order. We started with Prawn Tempura (a fabulous cooked dish) then onto the Sushi ; Momiji Deluxe Sushi platter, 6/6 Sashimi platter, A La Carte rolled sushi x 3, finally ended the evening with 2 tasty desserts. As we have consistently experienced the food was excellent, fresh & succulent everything was done to perfection & perfectly presented. Our bill came to a very reasonable £34.52 each (including drinks) Thankyou to all the staff for another fabulous evenings dining & our compliments to the kitchen. We will be back again & again & again.
