The Hanmer Arms - Hanmer - Photo album

Went in with a group of ten and the service was great, the prices very reasonable and the food (I had scampi and chips) was excellent. The new owners seem to be making a really good go so far. The selection of beers was good and the location is amazing - there is a massive free car park right next t
Beautiful setting in the lovely village of Hanmer, a short walk from the mere. We visited as a family and had the most beautiful carvery (Sunday) with drinks from the bar. Fantastic service, very friendly atmosphere and great value. Can highly recommend. There are various food theme evenings on diff

Everything a local should be. A promising start from the new staff. Keep up the good work guys!
Good service, friendly. Food is average but ok.
Nice spot in the middle of a quiet village. Very close to Hanmer mere which is worth a look.
Lovely Saturday afternoon lunch for our table of four. Feels cosy and welcoming, nice decor. Ordered from the light bites menu, all really good portions- fried chicken and skin-on fries, club sandwich (huge!), fish brioche sandwich, and kids chicken popcorn meal. Friendly staff. Specials board inclu

We took my partners Dad for Sunday lunch. Wow what an absolutely amazing meal. A choice of 5 meats and plenty of vegetables too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again.
Lovely quaint not-so-little pub with rooms. There are lots of rooms in the pubs, which means that you are always likely to find some space to sit down, without the place losing its typical village pub feel. The roasts, à la carte menu, and breakfast were all varied, tasty, and reasonably priced with
Exceptionally friendly staff, lovely well kept rooms in a stunning quiet village. Good walking about the mere and the church. Food was very hearty and decent. Bar has darts snooker and masses a great company. Was especially delighted by the staff here, name the breakfast was a joy to rise to each mor
Been today for the carvery. Not the cheapest carvery around , but well up there with the best. The meat selection was great, with four different meats , to which i had a little of each. Great selection of veg , Red Cabbage 🤗 cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli, mash, boiled potatoes . A really g
Lovely place in a great setting at a great price. Stayed here for the night in a very comfy room and really enjoyed the included breakfast the following morning. Very friendly service and if out that way again i wouldn't hesitate at booking again.
Nice location, nice decor. Staff nothing to much trouble. Kitchen staff will go the extra mile to cater for any dietary needs. You would have to be pretty fussy to find any fault with this place.
We first visited Hanmer 3 years ago and were advised the pub was not up to scratch so did not eat there but I believe it's under new management and can only say, wow, the food was fabulous. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the staff are very efficient, nothing was to much trouble for them t
Went for Sunday carvery, very well cooked, lovely staff and the veggie options were brilliant. Highly recommend! The puddings weren't all that special but the tart with ice cream was lovely!
Huge portions on the carvery. Easily coped with a large party but 2.5 hours for Sunday lunch so don't go in a rush. Well cooked and prepared food served with a smile
