only found this place today, wish i found it when it first opened, excellent food, loads of it, the biggest breakfast i've ever had in 60 years, if you get chance use this place you will not be disappointed, the best in the city...

Came out for a meal with my czech husband. We were blown away. The food was great so was the bill and the staff were great also. Would recommend this place to all my mates. Mind u, Tatransky Caj!!!! Really nice but could be lethal lol.
Surprisingly refreshing. This nice place, with nice people, nice food and drink. All in the Piccadilly side of Hanley.
The goulash soup is fantastic. So tasty. So much nicer to eat proper home made food than going to one of the many chain restaurants in the area. Friendly staff too and I like the Czech radio. It’s like going on holiday.
Went here the other day for the first time and i loved it staff were friendly food and drinks were amazing and was quick service and good value for money would deffo go again and highly recommended x

Yesterday we spent evening there with kids and that was fabulous, love the atmosphere there, clean and the food was excellent. We we'll be regular customers every time we are in alton towers. Highly recommend, but it's better to book your table as they might be busy. Thanks so much

We lived in Slovakia for 10 years and so we love to pop in for a dose of genuine Slovak/Czech cuisine.
Sat outside with our kids for a quick drink before moving on for dinner elsewhere. Gentleman serving couldn’t do enough for us. My toddler babbled about wanting some chips and the man brought a small plate out for him free of charge without us knowing/asking. Extremely good service, shame table was booked at a few doors down otherwise we would have stayed. Will be returning as the fries were delicious! Pints were great as well.

Love it here the staff are friendly and the food is really good and very affordable. The vegetarian option is very small but what they do is really good so can't complain. They have a great selection of drinks too both soft and a well stocked bar. It really feels like you are on holiday in here. A great experience. My only issue the service was a little slow the last couple of times that we went but the food is freshly cooked to order and really good so this wasn't an issue.

Not good as a years ago. Waited for the food one hour never waited that long even restaurant was busy in past. Had a mix grill plate meat very dry. Other food was only ok. Girl is working very hard in there should get help ASAP when restaurant is getting busy. She deserves it! Also looks like there is only one chef? On Sunday day common he should get a help too.

Was lovely to visit the tavern and eat some Slovak food...just returned to UK after living in Slovakia so nice to know there is somewhere we can get a halušky/Kofola/Marlenka fix! Food is lovely and nice to visit with my family today XX

Absolutely love this restaurant, visited many times.
The food is traditional Czech and Slovak cuisine done very nicely. Amazingly the prices seem more aligned to the Czech Republic than England.
I would say it is absolutely worth travelling out of your way for this place not only because it is one of the only Czech/ Slovak restaurants in the country but because it offers fantastic quality for the price.
