Absolutely loved this place. Due to COVID-19 and recently adopting a dog, me and my parents couldn’t go away on a holiday, so we decided to go away for a few nights in the UK. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and a stunning bedroom which was such good value for the price per night. Any requests we had to improve our stay were seen to right away, making our visit very comfortable. The location is very “out in the sticks” meaning there were lots of walks and there were no noises keeping us up at night. As well as our stay being memorable, the food was good quality and well cooked by the chef(s). On the breakfast menu there was a selection of delicious breakfast meals and pastries ( as seen in picture below ). In the evening the pub was set up beautifully with candles, adding a cosy feel to the space. I understand that it has only recently reopened, but you could not tell at all as it was so well run. Overall, The White Hart is definitely a place people should consider staying at, as it is affordable, dog-friendly and good value for money.
This is the best B and B we have stayed in.The owner and her team were very welcoming and friendly.
The pub is really great and even has its own house beer on tap as well as a wide selection of gin. The garden was a relaxing spot to enjoy a G and T in the summer’s evening.
We dined at the restaurant for dinner and the food and service were excellent.
The rooms are 5 star with extremely comfortable beds.
The shower was powerful with hot water.
The amenities were also excellent with wide selection of teas, coffee and biscuits. Bottled water was also included.
Breakfast was very high quality and well presented with an excellent choice of hot dishes as well as warm croissants, toast and cereals etc.
We are picky travellers and would highly recommend this place and will definitely return!
Lovely pub, brew their own beer, all welcome, littlies and dogs, planning to go back and try the food, and they also have rooms, we'll worth a visit
Great country pub and restaurant. Food amazing and fantastic rooms. Staff very welcoming and attentive.
Fabulous in every way
Stayed here on a Saturday night. The room was spacious and comfortable with a very modern bathroom. The pub garden is lovely with Ramsbury ales on draft. We had dinner which was good, but the star was the lovely open fire in the lounge. Stella, who is the owner is wonderful- friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good too! Highly recommend it.
Everything just as it should be! We had a three night stay in a beautifully furnished room. Breakfasts were superb with great choice. Sunday lunch and an evening meal were just as good with generous portions of very tasty fare. Stella and her team made us very welcome - especially our friends' border terrier! We had a relaxed, enjoyable stay and hope to return.
Very friendly and homely Inn. We sadly only stayed one night. Host is brilliant and made us feel at home straight away. Room was very clean , very well decorated and plenty of tea coffee and hot chocolate. Dinner was great and breakfast first class. Will come back next year.
From start to finish we had a great time, we came for a late afternoon Sunday lunch but the whole menu was on offer too. We both opted for the roast and desserts all of which outstanding, the cauliflower cheese was great in flavour too. Our desserts were just as tasty we opted for the crumble it was cherry and red wine, the crumble itself was amazing the you can really tell it's made with love. The ice creams they do are very good too, not your usual run of the mill taste it was some of the best I've tasted for a long time. Stella is very knowledgeable and experienced she was a delight to chat too, her team are also just as courteous and with the log fires and great kitchen staff you really need to visit.
We spent the most lovely week in this perfect location for exploring the nearby Cotswolds and the North Wessex Downs. Our accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and serviced throughout the week. Stella and her team made us feel very welcome, especially our 9 month old puppy. The food was delicious and perfectly apportioned. We look forward to returning to the White Hart.
We had such a great lunch today at the White Hart Inn. Highly recommend the mushroom starter and everyone around the table raved about their respective mains. Service was a little slow, but very friendly and the wine list is decent. Our buggy was easily accommodated beside the table. I consider myself to be a sweet potato fries connoisseur and order them as a side at every pub I go to - well, you can trust me that these SPF were the best I’ve ever had!! Great portion size, perfect crisp and outstanding flavour. Looking forward to going back again to this lovely, warm venue.
