Cracking bit of a winters day comfort food and a few beers and gins. Service spot on. Many thanks and good luck to you both
First time there, and it was amazing. The staff were charming and very attentive, thanks Mitch, Alex & Katie. Were shown to a fab table under the arches with space for kids to not annoy anyone else and the food was DELICIOUS. Clean plates all round. Was very difficult to choose from all the great options on the menu. Perfect kids portions and choices. Well done to the new management!
Fantastic pub with great food, first class service, excellent real ale and a top value for money menu. We will be back.
Great pub with great food and really friendly staff. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Fantastic lunch today. Would highly recommend the quiche and homemade chips. We will definitely be coming back.

Superb food, excellent staff and an amazing host, would highly recommend
This pub is a real gem! It is well decorated and has a lovely atmosphere that makes you feel at home straight away. The quality of the food is fantastic and the roast dinner was one of the best I've ever had. The real ales are well kept and there is a brilliant selection available. Can't wait to visit again!! Thank you for a lovely afternoon xx
Great bar meal tonight, super staff, homemade chips and excellent value for money

Wonderful atmosphere food excellent so we're all the staff
Have been there a few times now and it never disappoints.
It would be great if one could open nearer Leeds as would visit more often.Looking forward towards summer a fantastic place to visit especially now the garden is complete.
A few weeks ago we went to The Joiner’s Arms in Hampsthwaite for lunch. We gathered it had recently reopened after being refurbished. We were greeted very warmly at the door and service was lovely. We don’t really remember what we chose to eat, but we do know that it was delicious. Our visit was memorable for a different reason. One of our party - the wonderful 86-year-old gentleman who I regard as my father-in-law - unfortunately keeled over while we were there. Luckily a GP and a nurse happened to be lunching at the same time and they stepped in. It turned out to have been a dramatic and frightening collapse of blood pressure. Of course, the paramedics were also brilliant and demonstrated the best of proper Yorkshire humour. Before that the landlord Michael was immediately there and calmly and reassuringly talked to John encouraging him back to alertness – with considerable success. How Michael treated one of his customers was just astounding. Amazing, caring and kind.
This hostelry is a gem. We haven’t had the chance to go back yet, but we will. Please share this and go to the Joiner’s Arms if you live there or are passing. Well worth it…… and the “in-laws” are moving to Hampsthwaite in January !
Lovely family run Inn.
Blazing fires. Unfortunately we had already eaten but the carvery looked fantastic
Wow. Went to the Joiners for the first time tonight after being taken over by new management and cannot fault it at all. Tastefully decorated throughout. Delicious food and very friendly and attentive staff. Would highly recommend you try

Very friendly staff, lovely food and a pint of Landlords Brilliant
Pass this pub all the time on way home & never been in before, will definitely be back! Food is absolutely beautiful, clearly have a very good chef in there.
Really nice village pub. Friendly staff. We didn't eat there but the food did look good.
The head chef Dan is very friendly and clearly passionate about what he does. It shows in his consistently great food. Best Yorkshire puddings you'll find and beef always cooked to perfection! Great pub all round
Food here is always great. Proper home-cooked food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and warm, cosy atmosphere. Sunday carvery is excellent / better than home and you don’t have to do the washing up! Highly recommended.
This is the pub that I wish I had in my village! Proper home cooked British food served with excellent ales and friendly cheer. I ate here with my family of 5and our dog, and I can say that everyone jumped on the idea of coming back again 2 days later. (Note: the menu is on a chalkboard so check the photos to get an idea of what is on offer... and, if you're confused by older reviews, some date back to 9 years ago)
Excellent Sunday lunch, loads of really tender beef, and a good selection of vege. Toasty out of the cold, and a warm welcome too. Nice attentive staff. We’re going to be regulars! Thanks guys
I would revisiting for the food, drinks were a bit pricey. Staff very nice. Not a fan of sauces in packets but if that’s the worst thing it’s not bad at all!
Attended The Joiners Arms with a couple of work colleagues and what a lovely night we had. All staff were friendly and welcoming and the food (being freshly made) was absolutely scrumptious. Would I revisit? Yes! Thank you for filling my belly ☺
Lovely food freshly cooked good quantity. Lovely friendly staff.
