This is such a fab hotel. A bit like stepping back in time, great service, good food, clean & comfy rooms. Very dog friendly..& only just a little way from Hadrian's Wall. Well recommended

Stayed here for one night while exploring Hadrian's Wall. This place has the best British hospitality. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were clean and cozy.
Stayed here for 4 nights whilst we radiated out to walk Hadrian's Wall. Absolutely fantastic establishment and staff were exceptional and very welcoming. Christine the chef is brilliant in the kitchen and the food was sensational. Do yourself a favour and do stay here.

My girlfriend and I recently spent two nights at the Center of Britain during our hike of the Hadrian's Wall Path. It's a simple place, but met our needs very well. The staff were excellent, the food was good, and the rooms were comfortable. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 1 night in room 8. Hooks at back of bathroom door lose and do not hold towels up to dry. The large hook for coats at the back of the main door was on the floor when we arrived this needs putting into the wall with better fixings. Room was very clean. Bed super comfy and we both slept well
