Visited our local Weatherspoons many times for lunch and think the best service we have found for a Weatherspoons. Sometimes busy at the bar area so often short waits but once food ordered, quick service and excellent value for money particularly with their 2 meals for £7.50 etc.
Child friendly with family area to dine. Wider choice of food than has been previously and always been excellent for pub food.
Decent priced drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, often run beer festivals for local draught beers etc.
Busy on weekend evenings with party-goers due to cheap drink and now play music so a little livelier than used to be.
Toilets are always immaculate and this place is definitely worth a visit if you're in Halifax day or night.
Nice place. friendly atmosphere. the staff are pleasant. great place to go and have a bite to eat and a few drinks before hitting the clubs :)
At The Barum Top Inn you can enjoy a fab meal while connected to WIFI where you can catch up on your fave tv show on your phone and enjoy a nice relaxing drink in very comfy surroundings.
Nice pub at the top of the town . Near bull green palring - 2 hours stay .
Wetherpsoons menu - food is decently priced but can sometimes be a bit hit and miss . Service for food over busy period can also be vey slow .
Wide range of drinks - world beers and spirits
Range of cockatils and picthers on offer to help start the night off .
If town is busy can sometimes be impossibe to get a drink inhere
No surprises here as it is a Wetherspoons so it does what it says on the box! However this is a friendly well run example. There are 12 hand pumps serving good quality ale at sensible prices. They also include beer from local brewers as well as the cheap national brands, so a good choice for everyone. Excellent location and a choice of the large 'drinking hall' or quieter balcony area if you like more privacy.
L shape room and bar. + raised area + balcony + outside seating. Beer and staff good. Standard spoons menu..
Steak was chewy, but pizza was amazing.
Overall atmosphere is amazing for the breakfast and brunch. I love the beers on tap, many options available for Ales and guest beers.
It gets pretty busy on weekends and evenings, and pulls in a good crowd.
All in all a pretty good place to start your evening/night.
Had run out of 10oz gammon steak. Could not think outside of the box and offer 2 X 5oz steaks instead had to couse another meal instead. Other than that normal good service
I think this is the better of the two Halifax Spoons. Lovely interior with an upper level balcony seating area. Another opportunity to claim my 50p discount with CAMRA tokens thus making the low Spoons price even lower. We ended up staying the rest of the evening as I sampled a selection of the beers. Tod's blond by Little Valley was on fine form. Avoided the bland Doom Bar.
Today We went in for breakfast and all the staff was absolutely lovely. we go regularly to any Wetherspoons but today the staff stood out they all seemed really happy in their work and it really showed to customers
ellie the lady behind the bar was lovely and friendly on the till.
the lad that went round giving everyone a high five and leeds fans some banter (because he was a burnley fan) was great with customers.
and the 2 lads manger with blonde hair and the tall guy with a beard was helpful with the coffee machine.
Thankyou credit where credit is due.
keep up the great work guys it really shows having great service and atmosphere
A wetherspoons pub!
A variety of refreshments
A local big pub always packed full of punters! :)
There is a gallery section you can eat and drink in whist looking down on the crowds!
We love eating or drinking here after a big hike with our local walking group on a Thursday!
One of the best Wetherspoons we've visited. Lovely building, good service and very quickly got our food. Will definitely be back!!
Nice pub first visit here, food was served very quickly, toilets are easily accessible and not a trek away.
What a wonderful welcome the staff gave the Korean veterans after their special service in Halifax Minster. The place was packed, but the service was excellent. Credit to the staff for smiling through, when they were obviously rushed off their feet. The " Dukes" had a fabulous party!
Ok service was chaotic. To say there was 6 bar staff at 5 o clock took a good 10 minutes to get served.

Typical spoons. Nuked food. Cold drinks. Bog standard. Get what you pay for. No issues. Pub is looking a little scruffy, but what spoons pub doesn't.
