We have been going here for 5 years for Christmas � afternoon tea & have never been disappointed. The food is lovely & plenty of it & cater for family members with special dietary requirements. The staff are very friendly but so professional. I would certainly recommend to anyone!!
Went for an afternoon tea for mums 80th birthday... Everything and i mean everything was spot on... the place was warm as the open fire was lit... the staff were very attentive and the drinks & food amazing!! The entire visit was truely delightful. We would highly recommend a visit... We will return for sure xx
From the moment we walked through the door the whole place hugs you. Exceptional staff, especially the restaurant manager who ensured we had everything we needed, the restaurant staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Now for the food ...... awesomely amazingly wonderful ..... not sure thats remotely grammatical but who cares .... we had an awesome meal and will definitely return again. Thanks to all concerned :) I have recommended you to at least 30 people today.
Fantastic place food was amazing staff were fantastic couldn't do enough for you it's a pleasure to visit a place to find staff so cheerful and polite very peaceful tranquil got a great night's sleep hotel beautiful will def be back first class had dinner in beautiful room you thought you had been transported back couple hundred years brilliant
Could not recommend this venue highly enough. Myself and my husband got married here on April 29th 2017 and it was just perfect. The wedding co-ordinator was amazing, all the staff were so friendly and the food was fantastic. The day was made even better by the beautiful setting. Anyone getting married locally should definitely have a look round Holdsworth. Thank you to all the staff for making our day so special �
We were at holdsworth house to celebrate the wedding of my nephew, it was the best wedding i have ever attended, Excellent service , beautiful venue , very polite and professional staff. Would definateley recommend this venue
Family wedding. We have had a fabulous time here, perfect venue for a beautiful wedding. We loved Tracy she was caring, professional and such a lovely lady both at the reception dinner and breakfast, thank you. Everything went very smoothly on the day.
Breakfast was excellent plenty of it. Our room was lovely, bed very comfy and bathroom good size with shower over the bath. Lovely White Company toiletries(which I took home)
Nothing was too much bother the staff really looked after us.

We got married at Holdsworth House on Tuesday 29th August, what a stunning venue! We had a perfect day and would not change a thing. It was everything we imagined it would be and more! The venue is beautiful and ALL of the staff were lovely, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Not just the day of the wedding, but also the days surrounding.
We used their recommended make up artist Sharon Louise, who did an amazing job and also their recommended DJ- Jonathon who we also couldn't fault!
Anyone considering booking Holdsworth House- we cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you for everything!
I adore this place! We got married in August in the Hall of the house. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us on our special day. The house and gardens are beautiful and make a stunning venue for any occasion.

My daughters wedding was held here on 4th June 2018 and what a truly amazing day it was.
I cannot thank the manager Chris, Tracey and the rest of the team enough for making the whole stay and especially the wedding day, an experience we will all never forget.
I would especially like to thank the chef's. The food was incredible and despite having to deal with, vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and lactose intolerances, each course came out impeccably presented and tasted phenomenal. And if all this wasn't enough, our furry family (2 dogs) were made to feel so welcome and were able to be part of the whole day.... they even had sausages for breakfast and as many doggie biscuits a they wanted....thank you all x
Spending the night here for Smiffy has always wanted to come here. Loved it. Superb meal in restaurant and staff added little personal touch which was very much appreciated.
This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at this hotel, and as always lovely friendly & courteous staff who have always good a smile & kind word. Nothing is too much trouble for them to ensure your comfort. The food is also excellent & the selection of gins is vast !We had our new dog with us this time & she was given the same welcome including her blanket, water bowl & Holdsworth House biscuits , we thouougjy recommend this hotel & thanks for a great few days.
Had an overnight stop here for a Valentines Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package. Absolutely superb! Fantastically friendly staff, beautiful setting and surroundings, and the food was probably one of the best meals we have had in many years!
Fantastic accommodation, food and service. I was there for a function, but I would recommend Holdsworth House for any type of stay. They not only took care of special dietary needs, they produced beautiful food. Thank you.

Stayed here yesterday with family 6 adults lovey hotel staff couldn’t do enough and the restaurant was perfect food outstanding evening meal and full English breakfast today rooms clean bed a little too soft but that’s the only one thing I could say thank you for making it a lovely stay for my family and myself x
Beautiful, historic, 400 years old, a wealth of charm and atmosphere you rarely get in older hotels. Everything about Holdsworth House Hotel was wonderful. They hold weddings and events, but because of the location it would be hard to beat, from what i was told, they have weddings practically every week. Doggy friendly too, there is even the resident hotel cat, Eric, who is gorgeous. The food was lovely, we had sandwiches for a lunch, they were so big , i had the other half of them later which the waiters put in their fridge. Nothing was any trouble and it gives the ambience of a stress free stay. All of the staff are a credit to the hotel and i think they all enjoy working there as the happy atmosphere echoes throughout the whole hotel. All i can say is, 1963, 60 years, from when you opened your doors to accept guests to another 60 years and beyond, thank you very much.

The staff were helpful and accomodating throughout the planning and amazing on the day, ensuring the event went on without a hitch.
In addition to this, the house is beautiful and the rooms were great.
Been here occasionally in the past, just for a meal, always great food. This time we treat ourselves to an overnight 'Festive Break', which gave us Dinner from the Festive menu, Bed and Breakfast with mulled wine on arrival.
Room 7 was very clean, if a little 'tired' but the facilities were excellent, with an extrememly comfortable large bed.
The stand out here though is the level of service, from attentive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. They care and that makes all the difference. My request before arriving for extra pillows was heard and acted upon.
The restaurant, for both dinner and breakfast was beautiful and the food excellent. A really good point here is that diners are not shoe-horned in, as in many other places. No, there was lots of space between and around tables, which made for a relaxed and quieter experience.
Excellent Hotel and Restaurant, well recommended.

Had the afternoon tea which was a delight. A great selection of teas and coffee to choosefrom. Gorgeous grounds outside to sit in in the warmer weather. Recommend a visit if its a meal or a high tea .
Booked our daughter's wedding day. The venue and the staff were outstanding. They made a beautiful day absolutely perfect and I cannot praise them highly enough. The whole event was perfect from start to finish.
We attended a function for the West Riding Submariners last night. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was amazing. Lovely atmosphere and bedroom was really lovely. We will definitely be back Thanks especially to Anthony what a star 🌟
Went to my Niece's wedding. Stopped 2 nights. Room was well equipped and very clean. Nice view over the hills. Breakfast very good. Service was superb.

Lovely place, absolutely beautiful venue and grounds
Rooms were nice but nothing special, great beds, but low ceiling (sloping roof) had to open the window so i didn't hit my head.
Most of the staff were fantastic, polite, friendly and happy to help, a certain one with a little authority did not fit the standards set by their underlings.
All in all, great place for a wedding party :)
Absolutely brilliant stay with dinner and breakfast! My sister and I came for our birthday celebrations. The room was stunning, very clean and modern. We had an amazing 3 course dinner. Gardens are beautiful and it was great weather for us to sit and have a drink in the wonderfully landscaped garden. Yorkshire breakfast was great! Will definitely be back again! Thanks for making our weekend!
Really enjoyed the wedding I went to here. The staff were attentive, the food was out of this world (loads of gf and VG options). The only issue was the room, far too hot not a great night's sleep and no way to cool it down.
We stayed for a few nights over the festive period, celebrating two birthdays and a wedding and we couldn't have been hapier with the experience from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff and event organisers looked after us throughout and made the experience both stress and hassle-free, and supremely memorable. We'd absolutely recommend Holdsworth for any event, especially your wedding, where you can enjoy a charming Jacobean house with all its character and atmosphere.
I stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. I loved the room I stayed in, which was spacious and well-appointed. The restaurant was also excellent, with a delicious menu and a great selection of wines. From our first meeting in July 2022 with Amanda to the day of our wedding on 30th August 2023 nothing was too much trouble for the staff of this fabulous hotel. The wonderful Tracy took over the day along with myself and my husband (which was much needed) We had a small wedding and choose to have the afternoon tea which everyone said was a great idea. In the evening the staff rolled the carpets back and put music on, which we hadn't planned on doing as there was only a few elderly guests but wow everyone was on there feet. It was a truly magical day/evening, many many thanks to ALL staff that made our day so special. We will certainly be back 💖

Stunning venue for our wedding. The staff were amazing and really paid attention to detail when decorating the reception just how I asked. The food was delicious and they were very attentive when detailing the plan for the day. Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting a vintage West Yorkshire wedding!!
