Just great food, good service, lovely place ! We ordered eay too much but loved every bite.
Took my son last night for a celebration meal, the food was outstanding. It was very busy and had to wait a while, but the food didnt dissapoint. We had a lovely evening, and to be honest that break between courses made it better as we could even fit in desert.
Superb dining at its best.
And nice selection of wines too.

Managed to book in for a anniversary meal.
Loved the idea of a blind menu...Not knowing what is on the menu until you arrive.
Arrived to a small cosy restaurant.
And decided on two starters and two mains and hopefully a dessert.
Poppadom starter was very nice, chicken moist and full of flavour. The poppadom itself had a very very slight stale texture... The food is very fresh don't get me wrong I think the humidity got to it.
Prawns Vesuvius, appearance didn't look special but it was tasty!!!
Both starters are HUGE
Belly pork main very nice!! The crackling was perfect and not salty like some I've had. Pork very soft and pulled apart with ease. Very generous in size. My preference would be a little more jus and mash was very smooth
Lamb, cooked perfectly, although it had a strong *lamb* smell when served my partner said it didn't have the *lamb* taste and was very good.
Loved that when we ordered dessert they had written happy anniversary on a board when presenting the dessert to us, thank you we though that was a very warm touch.
Food very very nice, so why 4 and not 5 star, they are very minor little things...
As I don't eat lamb I'm very sensitive to lamb. I think somewhere along the line of plating up the person must've touched the lamb and something on my plate as I tasted a slight lamb taste on my pork dish.
As we didn't order any alcohol...Our wine glasses wasn't taken away like they did with other tables. I placed myy empty bottle of orange juice on the edge of the table to be taken away. It wasn't taken away. I asked a waitress to take it away when main course was served. It was there from beginning of starters and when main was served during that time we was asked if we needed another drink.
I think a new staff may have started which would explain these little things.
I would come back again and I do recommend.
Fantastic little gem on the outskirts of Halifax really lovely tasting food served with a touch of artistic flair. The food is excellent and the chefs more than happy to slightly tweak his menu to your taste. More than happy to recommend and will be returning to sample more of the menu.
Stunning food!! Great service and lovely strong cocktails too :) the picture is the meatballs which were 10/10 absolutely delicious. Quite expensive but worth it. Will definitely be returning and can’t wait!
Great evening yet again! Meatopia was a stunner, Wine was delicious, and the desserts are sublime. Always enjoyable to watch the chef at work. We will be back again soon!
What an amazing place well worth a visit! Staff very friendly the food is fantastic!
A Quality Establishment
Three of us visited this place for the first time and were blown away. A great chalked up menu that changes often. Food was delicious. I loved my lobster ravioli and venison, with black pudding neeps and tatties. Wonderful atmosphere and great service from the efficient and personable Jess. Highly recommended!
The most wonderful discovery, what a brilliant place! A while since I went, I've been meaning to leave a review for ages ... Delicious food - amazingly prepared by a single chef when we were there! - a really welcoming, cozy atmosphere, service was perfect with everything served little by little, just at the right time, so we could enjoy it all without rushing. Highly recommend
Wow, that was such good food! Can’t wait to go again and try the other dishes as literally could only eat so much. Brilliant little restaurant, with really good service as we celebrated a birthday. Nothing bad to say at all! Huge Bravo to the team and we will be back! 👍
