Omg where do I start! This is my new favourite pub, the staff were really friendly and the food was to die for, absolutely fantastic, I would recommend this to anyone, there was loads to choose from on the menu. Can't wait to go back!
My husband has already reviewed the food and I agree totally that the food we had was generally excellent. I can sympathise with previous reviewer's comments about the collection of serving bowls which I feel are superfluous. My only negatives would be firstly that the puddings are not such a high standard as the mains ( the lodge mess was made with defrosted fruit which was in a lot of juice and "squirty cream " which was a bit disappointing ) and secondly the online menu does not do justice to the good variety of vegetarian food that is on the in house menu. As a vegetarian if I had solely relied on the online menu and not the advice of friends, I probably would not have visited ! Lovely helpful staff . Will certainly return.
Went here yesterday lunchtime with a friend having not been for many years ..the pub us tastefully decorated plenty if seating areas to eat away from just drinkers ..I can't fault the food or the staff who were lovely in this heat they were running round constantly looking after diners but still asked if everything was ok .if you don't want to wait for food go to a lower class of pub cause for me a busy pub is one people enjoy coming back to as the food is good if will deffinately be going back !!
We've been to have a meal here twice now and both times have been faultless! Food is beautiful and staff have been more than helpful both times, we took my parents and aunty yesterday and we all LOVED our meals � steak was to die for! Amazing place and right on our doorstep � Thank you to all staff at the Lodge, see you again very soon! Xx
This is my local so probably a bit biased, had quite a few meals here from Sunday roast & from the menu , all have been superb . Staff can't do enough for you . Good Ale & food keep it up you have saved this pub good on you

Went for a meal yesterday for our anniversary, food was lovely and very friendly staff. Only downside was we reserved a table and where we were placed next to a grabbing machine by open double doors and people keep walking past us and was very cramp.

Came here last Sunday as a group of 7 (4 adults and 3 children). Loved the great variety on the menu. Was spoilt for choice!
All the food we had was amazing.
2 Sunday dinners (chicken and pork)
Yorkshire puddings filled with cottage pie
Beef and merlot pie
Steak and ale pie
2 of the kids mix grills (which is a great idea as they get a bit of everything!)
Great atmosphere and we won the bingo!
Good choice of drinks too.
Will definitely be returning soon.
Sunday Roast Dinner beef dinner and pork dinner it was perfect. Gravy was tasty. The meat just melted away in your mouth, so many flavour vegetables were just right, not soft at all still had a crisp texture to them. The cauliflower cheese was just out of this world.
First time visiting for food and blown away on how lovely the food was. Excellent value for money! Clean and very Friendly staff, definitely will be back. We left completely stuffed!
Discovered this gem fairly recently. Visited approximately 6 times now mainly for their excellent craft beer and one regular real ale . Last time I had a late lunch of tasty lamb burger with feta cheese.
Cannot rate the food and service enough! Will definitely be returning

Arranged a family meal here today to celebrate my dad's retirement. Everything was perfect. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and how good the pricing was. Have never had a bad meal here. Thank you for being so accommodating.
Sunday lunches are great - lovely selection of veg and great value for money. Good vegetarian options. Went with a group of people and well looked after.
Extremely generous portions so sadly a lot of food left on the plates. Maybe offer two sizes to avoid food waste?
Would still highly recommend a visit.
Couldn't fault this place - excellent and reasonably priced food, wide menu, friendly staff. Decent selection of beers etc . Nice ambience too. Dog friendly. What's not to like? Will definitely return.
Been a few times recently. Both when they had a bouncy castle and we went to have some dinner with friends. The beer is good quite open area so in the sunshine is brilliant. Nice little play area to keep he kids occupied. We found the food reasonable and really good. The burger I had the first time was really good.
