A fantastic evening with delicious food! Cameron at the Bar made us feel very welcome at the start of the evening. We really enjoyed all the food, especially the salmon tikka and goan prawns. 5* indian food and ambience ⭐️
One of the best lunches.
Saturday afternoon sitting outside watching the world go by.
We decided to try a few sharing options so went for the meat sharing platter - kebab, chicken & salmon plus the Thali (think I’ve spelled it correctly).
Absolutely loved it.
Definitely a cut above most other Indian / Asian restaurants.
Staff were very attentive and food arrived quickly.
Starters: We got the dahi puri. Good sized portion and it tasted delicious and fresh.
Mains: The tandoori salad was amazing, highly recommend. The portion of chicken in this salad was generous and it was very filling.
The Aloo ghobi (cauliflower and potato curry) was also delicious but only 2 small pieces of potato amongst the cauliflower.
The butter chicken was very good, decent portion size and nice taste - very creamy.
The rice portions were very small, felt like each individual needed 1.5- 2 portions to be able to enjoy their curry.
Overall, great experience. Good quality food, good portion sizes (except for sides/rice) and nice atmosphere. I would visit again just to have that tandoori salad!
We went for dinner here on Sunday 22/10, and were completely blown away by how fabulous this place is. Don’t think of it as an Indian restaurant it’s an experience. Food was just amazing, flavours I had never had before, some traditional street food options, which we had never seen before. All delicious and cooked to perfection. Served by really fabulous staff.
The cocktails were exquisite! The Hermilya, is a must, bespoke to the restaurant, Pink Gin, Blue Curasco, & lychee syrup … I had 3.
We would definitely be back soon, if only we lived closer x
💕
Lovely food & service! We really liked the ambience of the restaurant . All staff were so attentive, a special shout-out to Aimee who looked after us v well
Had lunch visiting family in Hale! What a lovely meal we all had and two teenage children were very enthusiastic also about the whole experience! Some very nice little extras which has whetted appetites to revisit as soon as possible.
Very fancy looking restaurant with good food! Service is amazing, atmosphere is brilliant but food can be worked on. Though we enjoyed our experience!
Have been wanting to dine here for a while. Delicious food & lovely atmosphere. Early-bird menu reasonably priced and plently of choice on it (lamb & chicken & vegetarian etc.). Thank you for the meal.
The food was just amazing, especially the thalli. If you aren't planning on drinking Kingfisher or any other alcohol, I highly recommend the not so raita, I amazing. Would definitely be back here.
Satisfying and genuine North Indian food.
I’d been meaning to review Gupshup for a while. But as it’s almost on my doorstep so to speak, I was usually en route elsewhere. When eating with friends, it’s not conducive to conversation to whip out one’s phone and jot a review.
There are concessions to the neighbourhood. Smart decor and meat off the bone. I forgot if the chicken dishes eschew breast meat for the far superior dark meat.
I had the Rogan Josh which hit all the right notes, dark cardamon was evident, with bits of sourness from the tomato. It’s not on par with Prem Dhaba in Karol Bagh but more akin to that that at the Maurya, sans the awful traffic to get to either place.
Now one might say that Lal Qila in Rusholme does this better, to which I say they don’t have the same wine list and yes, that is a Petrus 2004. This is Hale, after all.
