Went today for my birthday and fathers day i had the carvery and it was absolutely lovely will definitely go back on a Sunday. We usually go on Saturday and really enjoy it would definitely recommend this place for a cheap and cheerful place to eat and have a little drink
Excellent night for kids Halloween party, it was all free, games, food, sweets, dancing, duck apple, kids totally loved it, staff fantastic, best manageress yet����, thanks guys for fab night. Xxxx
We called in last night were told they had finished doing food but the lovely landlady stepped in and said they'would accommodate us I had the best gammon steak I've ever had in my 70 years
Been for drinks today, staff friendly and attentive and good atmosphere, would definitely go again and take my dog in the bar!

Very welcoming village pub, with beer garden and front door tables. Serves a decent pint of mild and for a reasonable price.
I can not express how warm a welcoming this pub is ! We was visiting Liverpool and had no where for my son to eat as he’s autistic and very fussy . We walked into the wellington and was looked after my all the staff from the start ! The barmaid even gave my son who is obsessed with floors and rooms a tour of the cellar a function room !! We can’t thank the staff enough for turning a bad day into a lovely afternoon ! The food is lovely too especially the fish and chips xx
We turned up a little later than the finish time food but the boss checked with the kitchen and we were shown to a table. The waitress was excellent and the food was very good. We will be going back again as we were treated so well and served with delicious food by cheerful and efficient staff. Thank you to the management and staff.
Our first time in thr Wellington Hotel and would recommend it to everyone. Debbie and her other staff colleagues were really friendly. The food was really nice, can recommend the lasagne. Will definitely be going back.
14 of us went for grandson’s birthday, pub was really busy but the staff were really attentive. Food was really nice and great value. Would definitely come back.

Really lovely pub inside and out, made to feel very welcome. Good fresh tasting beer and went for lunch menu. Good value for size of portion. Will return next time in area.
Had a Sunday meal at this vibrant village pub the food was excellent a delicious meal served with a pot of gravy...the choice was beef chicken pork or for an extra price lamb shank... other meals are available. Starters looked very good also clean dining area pre booked as plenty of people turn up to dine.. great staff service to .Beer garden, bar with TV good ales beautiful garden as well definitely worth a try 👍👍👍

Called in here unexpectedly on the way home from a very stressful visit with my poorly sister at Chester hospital. My mum and I were a bit sad and tired. As soon as we sat down.. a really friendly girl welcomed us and took our drinks and food order and told us she would open up a tab to save us going to the bar. Very kind of her. My mum ordered the fish n chips and as I am trying to lose weight.. I ordered the chicken and bacon salad without the bacon or dressing . The food arrived and my mum LOVED her meal saying it was the nicest, whitest cod she had ever had. That's a real compliment from her as she is really fussy! I was expecting a pretty boring chicken salad but it was the nicest I'd ever had. It had all the freshest ingredients plus the chef had incorporated quinoa and brown rice into it. It was really delicious. The chicken was fresh, delicious and grilled to perfection. I'm definitely going to return here with my husband and daughter as we only live in Grassendale and I know they will love it. Thank you so much to the staff for such a warm welcome and an exceptional meal. it was just what we needed on such a sad day and it really rejuvenated us. We will be back!

Had a lovely meal in the Welly, compliments to the chef, it was my birthday, and the bar staff came over singing happy birthday, how cool, only down side was no back ground music in restraunt, but defo go back, Keith the bar man was propa funny, we had a good laff
Just had a lovely meal and drink here, New owners are extremely friendly and sounds like they have really good plans for the pub, the food is absolutely amazing and great value . will definitely be back!!
Our first visit to this pub. Popped in for lunch (a Sunday). A warm welcome from the staff as we entered the pub. A nice table. Good beer. Great food ( roast dinner for me & scampi for my wife). Staff were really nice too. We both really enjoyed it. We will be back.
