Mooching away from a stuffed motorway whilst heading for the airport we happened upon this neat hideaway. It was humid so we chose to eat outside. The place was clean and fresh. I used the rest rooms, they were clean and fresh no stale Odors or smells of cleaning agents. Everybody was friendly. We were acknowledged by all the staff with a smile and it was very welcoming. It was quiet and our table was two from the end. Drinks were ordered and delivered swiftly. A biting pint of magners over ice later I ordered the calamari. Caprese salad, and the risotto funghi. The food was fresh and well presented the smell of Torn basil over the plate was reassuring. The calamari was cooked well. The risotto was excellent. I like Italian food. I visit Rome often and I don’t like poor service. I have to say, the privacy, the checking in with the meal and the strawberries as a finish was a delight. Genuinely we both Left satisfied and remarking that we had found a great new diner. We’re loyal that way Me and Mike. So, well done guys, you’ve two new fans. Great place to meet, eat and do business. Now how much more Italian do you want eh? Graze Mille bellisssimo.

Took a family friend there for his birthday surprise. We both commented on the excellent service and top quality meals we ordered. Would certainly return and recommend to others.

Not been here in a few years if I'm honest. Down to the food being a bit hit and miss. Decided to give it another go. Couldn't fault it. Food was more than excellent and the service was second to none. The waiter advised on a bottle of wine I hadn't tried before. Great choice we ordered 3 bottles !! Going again tomorrow with family for a birthday dinner. Can't wait

It's POSH !!! If you know what I mean 😀 Service depends on how busy the restaurant is. Luckily, we went on a lazy Saturday afternoon for a quiet lunch. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. My wife is happy, and so am I. Well, for that price you wouldn't expect anything less !!

Update September 2023 A great place to grab lunch of dinner in fine surroundings with a view. Totally relaxing. First time at Piccolino's in Hale - The restaurant shares the same DNA as its sister restaurant in the centre of Manchester. The fixtures and fittings have a corporate feel or branding that is unmistakable. The menu is identical. We stayed for lunch/brunch eating out on the terrace, this was rather nice. The retractable roof came into its own on a beautiful sunny day that blessed our visit. The service was excellent - that is par for the course in Piccolino's. If I'm to be picky then my Calzone was a little over done and lacked the bouffant appearance that has become customary. Maybe the dough lacked gluten resulting in the lack of the puffy finish that is more aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Having said all of that, super meal out.

Delicious food extraordinary service! Food so good you think you are in Italy - but your not! A delicious menu - pasta to perfection! Ingredients fresh and flavorful with a lovely wine list. All of this wonderful foods complimented by the excellent service from Cris and what a fabulous evening! Makes me wish we had one more night

With the exception of Liverpool and Bramhall, I think I’ve eaten and reviewed most of the Piccolinos in the Northwest and I’d have to say that this is my favourite. Sure, I’m biased because it’s pretty much on my doorstep, but in terms of location it can’t be beat. With Cibo bookending the Hale high street, you have your choice of Italian specialty restaurants. Make no mistake, this is a ristorante and not a trattoria like Sugo in Altrincham. I doff my hat to the Piccolino group for maintaining consistency across all the sites. It’s not easy, but front of house staff were brilliant in putting my figlio at ease. The table settings were top notch. Crisp white linen and place settings get full marks from me. Before I start with the food, I have to say that I spotted some tantalising wine selections. Sadly, I was unable to peruse anything more than the house white on this occasion and it went down well in the sun-shine. I doubt there’s a ristorante that can beat a dedicated pizzeria like Rudy’s or even Vito’s a few doors down, but with a traditional oven on site, they do a great job of keeping the kids happy. Time permitting, I would have had antipasto and primi piatti before the secondo piatto. But such is life that I had to make do with just a well balanced gamberoni pasta. The prawns were succulent and the pasta seasoned well with just the right quantity of chilli flakes. No hint of cream to obscure flavours. Despite almost ruining the dish myself by asking for Parmesan (never on seafood), it did not spoil the deliciousness of the repast.

I haven't been to Piccolonos Hale for at least 4years, mainly due to 5je last couple of times there were fighting between young men. I have visited the restaurant in Manchester & Knutsford which have been wonderful. Thankfully Hale seems to have cleaned up it's clientele and the place seemed back to it's usual good standard. The food was great, liver, onions and mashed potato. My wife had the cod, all very well cooked and tasted great. The atmosphere was a little quiet but it was midweek so to be expected.

Evening meal was the nicest I've had for a long time, music was really good, very relaxed atmosphere. Guy at desk greets you really polite, we had cocktails at the bar, Jerry recommend a cocktail which was to die for. Overall great experience.

The service was top class as you'd expect. The food however was expensive and average. I'd ajve to say that its a really loud atmosphere so talking can be a little difficult. Great party venue, but not a relaxing, sit down meal atmosphere.

A fabulous place to eat. Beautiful fish skewers, fresh, tasty, and full of flavour. Caesar salad plentiful and lovely crunchy salad leaves. This should certainly be on your radar for places to eat.

By far the best experience I have had in a restaurant in several years (and I go out to eat a lot!) Mario was absolutely amazing, going the extra mile and demonstrated world class customer service alongside his colleagues. The food was absolutely delicious, from the lobster+steak and dessert. Also had oysters which by request to have them grilled (due to medical reasons) they were more than happy to do so. Will definitely be back, Keep up the great service

Food was very good. The ambiance was nice. Staf is friendly. Music was a bit loud for a restaurant. The terrace is heated and perfect for a spring or fall evening. It was my second time here.
