We had our wedding reception here yesterday and the day was faultless !!!from the start Mauro was fantastic with organising and nothing was to much trouble he helped and guided us though all the options and kept in regular contact to check we was happy with everything. The day itself was perfect and everybody commented how gorgeous the food was and how the staff was so friendly and attentive we had a wonderful day and highly recommended Thankyou san Carlo you really made our day xx
Had Sunday lunch, for 13 people, family birthday, food and service was fantastic, such a beautiful place, would definitely recommend to anyone
Love it here! R 5th time! Never fails to impress & well
Done ✅ to the polite nice young man who deboned his first salted Seabass! Excellent service, food & ambience - highly recommend xxx 10/10 guys 👍❤️
Always enjoy going here for a Friday treat after work. The staff are great with the kids, and the food is always good. Loved the lobster, and the lemon sole good too.
Great time, lovely atmosphere and staff all really nice only gripe and it’s being really fussy is the refuse you drive past and the public toilets are pretty grim but the actual place and evening was pretty faultless.
Exquisite food, wonderful wine selection, unrivalled service and comfortable surroundings. Seafood lovers paradise. The best San Carlo in the North West by a country mile.
Had a lovely lunch here with my daughter & grandson the food was amazing the staff were very helpful & friendly nothing was too much trouble would definitely go back excellent place for lunch ..
Great food really welcoming the place to eat steak amazing
Arrived late at the restaurant for a light dinner and some drinks. We managed to get a table without prior booking.
Restaurant has a luxurious and vibrant atmosphere. Food arrived very quickly. I had the pumpkin ravioli and thoroughly enjoyed it. Partner had the Carbonara and also rated this highly. Waiting staff were friendly and passed regularly to refill drinks and ensured we were happy with food. Would highly recommend.
Its been a great lunch again with San Carlo, food are all extremely good as usual and service is also at his best too. Best choice for celebrations! Will definitely coming back again soon.
Had a lovely experience at San Carlo Fiorentina.
The staff were very cheerful and welcoming upon arrival, the atmosphere was lovely and the interior is gorgeous.
The food really was the star of the show. We had the San Carlo antipasti which was a charcuterie style combination of breaded fried goats cheese, mozzarella, salami Milano, prosciutto crudo, mortadella, etc. on a bed of rocket, with artichoke and thin crispy bread.
We also indulged in the seafood mains, namely the Dover sole main and the mix of grilled shellfish. Both were very delicious and light, and perfectly seasoned.
Overall it was an amazing night, the only slight downside we found was that one of the waiters was a bit grumpy and made us feel like we are a bother for being there and ordering food but we all have bad days so we didn’t let it affect our lovely evening, and the rest of the staff were all very lovely.
Gay Carlo is a wonderful beautiful ambient experience. It is so easy to find with all the signs and it has free parking. But beware the hotel beside Gay Carlo only welcomes pedestrians to go around to the hotel? Unnerving. I had the ravioli, devine. My lady friend had oysters! Yaay for me…. And we had the tiramisu dessert. Gay Carlo is absolutely the best restaurant in the hotel car park. Grazzie Rigazzi, Bonjourno tutti. PS you can drink AND dance here. The parliament says it is okay. 🆗
An odd experience. First impression very good, classy, modern, stylish. On closer inspection you'll see a TV showing football and people screaming into their mobile phones while their kids run around on the furniture. It's a classy veneer hiding an average airport hotel operation beneath. If they really want to live up to their upmarket image and pricing, at the very least take the TV out. Food sounds great, looks good, misses the mark. Sashimi grade tuna which they then mash the life out of. Lasagna swimming in sweet tomato sauce. It's ok but it's just not as good as the nice decor and authentic staff would have you think.
Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. Appeared to be short staffed as the service, whilst very good, took a long time to bring drinks and food. Had a wonderful evening celebrating two birthdays and would definitely go back
Reasonable food at reasonable price. Staff got me a wrong wine, but she was apologetic and changed it as soon as I told her so. Parking is difficult especially if you have an SUV.
Really nice place to go for a birthday dinner or celebration.
I went there for my granddaughters 22nd birthday.
Food was ok not blown away.staff were lovely.
Made my 7 year old granddaughter happy.
My daughter and granddaughter had the spicy vegetarian penne pasta they said it was nice.
There really wasn't a lot on the menu for vegetarians maybe make more dishes available?
I had the lasagna it was ok had better had worse.
My son and grandson had rump steaks with veggies and chips steak wasn't very big well not for a man.
I'm not being picky or anything as I know people rave about this place and loads of celebrities go.
But this is just my opinion.
In a nutshell it's ok but it's not as good as people say.
Best part about it were the staff they were lovely.
Amazing. Beautiful food. Such friendly lovely staff. Especially Jake!
Most fancy place we've been in a while. And was no side ways glances that we came straight off the train in hoodie and leggings attire! 😬. Thank you for a lovely evening ❤️
The food was amazing
Strawberry daiquiri was great!
Customer service was great..no communication between staff though, was being asked the same thing continuously by all staff..seemed to be all over the place but they were all very very friendly
It was a seafood day, lovely service but the restaurant is quite out of the way - if you drive it’s worth the trek. Quite pricey but it was seafood which is expected.
Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, no doubt about it.
I’ve usually avoided restaurants attached to hotels and but it was the closest to my son’s school for a dinner on a school night.
The staff are smart and have that imperceptible snap you’re looking for in a good Italian restaurant, with warmth that’s essential when dining out with children. That was evident by the many young diners still in uniform. However by 7 pm the unfurrowed brows were mostly due to Botox and the uniforms were a mix of Burberry and 7 for all mankind.
San Carlo’s food is good but not at the same level at Locanda Locatelli. The pizza dough is reasonable with toppings that are flavoursome. The chicken on my son’s pizza was moist and flavoursome but the cheese good old cheddar instead of mozzarella. With Honest Crust nearby and Rudy’s pizza soon to join them, it’s not on the same level but good none the less.
Tre Ciccio is a good local alternative but San Carlo is really competing with Piccolino and Don Giovanni. Our mains were delicious and the lobster sauce that accompanied my halibut was flavoursome.
