Perfect evening after a muddy stomp around Buxton Heath in the sunshine ☀️ Popped into one of our favourite local pubs & decided to try their seasonal du jour menu which is 3 courses for £25 or 2 courses for £21. The food was utterly delicious with fresh ingredients & attention to detail. The staf
A warm welcome to begin with, with a good selection of drinks. Local ales were particularly of note. Not an extensive selection, but enough to be interesting. Pigeon breast to start was a real treat. Nicely prepared and presented. Rhubarb jus was tasty. Would benefit from a little more considering
This is a pretty thatched pub with delicious food just outside Norwich. The service was attentive and friendly, and we had no complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend the chicken supreme and the fish and chips.
We stopped her on our way home from a trip to the coast, the staff were really welcoming, our food was hot and plentiful overall a lovely little pub and restaurant, I would of given 5 stars but they didn't have a child's menu so my daughter had a huge burger, which of course she couldn't finish, the
Absolutely lovely Sunday roast. I went with my wife and sister in law who are both vegan and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good value and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be going back.
Warmly welcomed, nice outdoor area with kids play area, food was stunning. Staff were nice and softly spoken. We could hear the pub quiz going on a few tables away and ended up joining in unofficially (and even got a few right - bonus we didn't though!)
Walked in without booking on a Monday lunchtime, friendly welcome, seated in a cosy restaurant area with open fire, perfect as it was a very wet and cold day. Very friendly waitress, great knowledge of the food, went for the seasonal offer and was not disappointed, absolutely amazing lamb burger and
Just had Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. Great friendly pub, everyones food was excellent, generous portions good menu with plenty of choice, staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to everyone at the Chequers 😀
5⭐️ Amazing pub- absolute GEM Cannot recommend highly enough! Had an absolutely superb evening. Food was fantastic and the service was excellent 🥰 Such a beautiful pub inside and out, now on our favourites list. Will be recommending to friends and family and returning very soon!!
Surprisingly dead on a Friday evening. Food was excellent, but service was bizarrely slow considering there was barely anyone else in there. We were stuck on a small table by a draughty chimney, which was odd when as it turned out they could have given us any table. It took 30 minutes for our order
Great pub, freehold, so a good selection of drinks. Steven was at the bar when we went, nice chap, we didn't eat this time, but will be back for sure..
Great pub with good food and large beer garden. 3 course seasonal menu de jour (Mon-Thurs) for £25 was great value for restaurant standard food.
We stopped here yesterday and we had a lovely time sitting in the garden. Friendly reception from staff, good choice of local drinks, and the food very tasty. We ordered sandwiches however these were very nice and came with a very nice selection of condiments. A lovely pub in the norfolk village of
Really great atmosphere. Wide selection of beers (both ales and lagers) and was impressed with the gin selection too. Food took a while to come out, but more than worth the wait. We all had roasts (the beef is pictured) and so amazingly tasty; I'm not a Yorkshire pudding fan, but that was incredibly
Great pub, called on the day to book and was told plenty of seats available. Food was lovely couldn't fault any of it the waiters explained everything to us. Even down to the beers as was all home brewed
