Loved this pub so much I've become a regular. Always receive a friendly welcome, even in the busy times. Always feel safe, even when I go on my own, because I don't feel I'm on my own once I walk through the door.

Customer service from the staff was excellent. On arrival we was told that the kitchen is now closed, but after explaining that we booked our time slot online and it did not say the kitchen would be closed from 15:00-17:00, the staff Mary & Charlie accommodated us.and the service and food we receive
A very pleasant experience. Comfortable, quiet pub with a conservatory. We ate in the main bar. Fish and chips was excellent. Could not fault it. Prices were exceptionally reasonable.
Well worth a visit for a good, inexpensive meal and drinks.
First impressions of the castle was it looked a bit run down and in desperate need of a refurb. However taking that aside because looks are not everything. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
