Had some time to while away whilst my dog was being groomed which I normally spend in the supermarket cafe on Hadleighs outskirts.
However, this time I decided to have a walk in Hadleigh high street & found this little gem. Absolutely superb coffee & a lovely chocolate flapjack are a reasonable price.
Next time my dog has his grooming session guess where I'll be ?? Yep.
I have only 1 question & that is would It be possible to have a large cup option for coffee as I do like a large cup?
That aside, definitely 5 stars !!
Lovely coffee, cake and location. The tables in the garden behind the relatively small facade are an oasis of tranquillity away from the hubub of the high street. This is one of my "planned" stops on circular bike rides in the area. You are always guaranteed a warm reception and top service.
Friendly staff. Always helpful with my gluten free diet and great with young children too.

Went for breakfast. It was a busy Sunday as they had local veterans in.
Still good service and good food.
Went for breakfast had the pancakes with berries and maple syrup gorgeous. Sat in the courtyard, lovely sitting, staff friendly and helpful. Nothing but praise well worth a visit our first time but will be back
One of our very best cafes! Very friendly & welcoming & dog friendly to which is a huge plus, the coffee is great & their crispy bacon rolls & chips are delicious 😋
Love this coffee shop!! Great food, staff are amazing! My daughter has fatal food allergies and the lady with reddish/brown curly hair couldn't have done more for us. She went above and beyond to find us something my daughter could safely eat! My son is on the spectrum and is very picky with food, again she went above and beyond to help us with finding something he would eat! Wonderful place to go. Family friendly, such a welcoming place, and also will do their utmost to accommodate wheelchairs (my mum is in one). I truly enjoy this coffee shop with my family and never feel out of place here!
Great service by pleasant and good natured staff. Was really pleased to be able to order items on the breakfast menu well after midday. A very individual and interesting place to meet. Cakes looked good but will have to return one afternoon to sample them !
Lovely food in a friendly, cosy environment.
It's nice, the food is mostly delicious and perfect for lunch or just a coffee. I like the outside area, the gardens and the ponds. Downside is that it isn't a great place to go with children, it's often crowded and the toilet and upstairs lounge is a bit grotty. But for the nice food it's worth it.
Beautiful coffee shop situated on the high street. Stunning and relaxing garden. The coffee and food is amazing and they have an excellent selection of seasonal drinks. The staff are warm and welcoming and the prices are reasonable too. Beautiful setting.
Great spot for a coffee and a chat, but next time I'm ordering breakfast! It looks amazing!
Edited to add... Been back for lunch, it was great! Just a fish finger sandwich, but homemade tartar sauce and nice salad
Amazing time! Especially impressed by a young girl working there who told me she was called Daisy. Best customer experience and they have vegan cake
Excellent breakfast and very nice ladies who served us. Much friendlier than Jet lounge staff. Been going to Crabtrees for years and never let us down!
Had coffee and lunch here- food fine and good service. Now called The Flying Guardsman!
Had a girly meet up with my friend and took my granddaughter we both declined the delicious cakes but choose potato wedges and chips both lovely hot and crispy coffees were lovely too

Such a lovely little place that has a great atmosphere ...the gardens are also a lovely place to sit in the warmer months ...nice home cooked food too and they make a great cuppa !!
