This place is amazing!!! I have to say it was so worth the travel and defo recommend it to everyone. The staff are so friendly and the food is priceless will be sure to pay a visit again very soon :)

This restaurant has been up for debate this year but he new look is excellent and their food certainly is up there with the best i've had around Essex and Suffolk judging by what i ate tonight. Very impressed.

We both had such a lovely meal at the Royal Bhengal. I really recommend the chicken Rogan Josh with vegetable rice. We were well looked after by the owner and his staff and considering that everywhere is so expensive since the pandemic, the prices were very reasonable. Thank you for having us will come again! :-)
When I was in my teens, I went to this restaurant a lot, once a week with friends would be fair to say. It would be my go to, but then as the years went on the food went down hill and others in the area were better.
Recently, the restaurant changed ownership and rumours were going about saying it was really good again, so after years of avoidance, I decided to go back and try it, and it was fantastic.
The dishes were beautifully cooked and tasty, the bahji's were big and round and delicious. The Saag Paneer, definitely the best I've ever had.
And the service, I don't know if he is the owner or the manager, but he knows how to host and make you feel welcome. Making sure you have everything you need.
For me, it is great that this has returned back to form. I have been several times before writing this review, and I can confirm that it has been consistent with what I have writen.

The food and service is amazing from here, whether you are eating in or taking away. But the reason I’m leaving this review is today I was dealing with my 2 year old having the worst public meltdown she has ever had waking through Hadleigh high street, I decided to just stop and sit on the pavement to try and calm her down enough to carry in walking. After a few minutes the owner of the restaurant came out (we had stopped opposite on the other side of the road) with 2 lollipops for my daughter which instantly stopped her meltdown like nothing had happened. I just thought it was so nice and thoughtful as he didn’t have to do this (maybe he just wanted the shrieking to stop lol) but it helped me out massively. I don’t know the owners name but whenever we have gone in to eat he has always been very attentive but he really went out if his way to help today when again there was no reason for him to. Would recommend this place to anyone before this but even more so now!
Excellent food and service in a very difficult situation, the owner of this business is an excellent and kind man. The food was excellent and we ate every single bit. Delicious!
We were on holiday and my daughter made a mistake when ordering she had to drive over 30 miles to collect, this gentleman was so kind giving us a huge discount and a nice bottle of wine. He also called to check she had made it home safely.
We ate there last night and it was fantastic. I was a bit dubious because of some of the reviews I have seen on here but the new owners were great, polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the food. From where we were sitting I could see into the kitchen through the serving hatch, which was always open, and it was spotless, so I don’t know who said it was only rated at one star for hygiene. The food was lovely and there was no long wait, just enough to enjoy the poppadoms and the excellent dips. The main courses were piping hot like the plates, very tasty and all reasonably priced. Brilliant! We will be back.
First time ordering from here after it being recommended to me. Ordered on the new app that I downloaded from the play store. They have 50% off food Sunday - Thursday and 10% off the other days if you collect your order.
The service was a bit slow but I was told this was due to the staff breaking their fasting for the day and I was more than happy to wait.
I personally really enjoyed the food. It's the first time I've had lamb curry and the meat has been edible. It wasn't fatty or chewy at all.
My husband wasn't keen on the flavour of the curry's or the rice but he really enjoyed the meat samosa as they were quite spicy.
Had a family meal here, and it was AWESOME.
Traveled from New Zealand to see family and the man serving us took such good care of us, food was delicious.

My wife and I ate at this very nice restaurant, early last Sunday evening 11th June . It was a very pleasant experience . The host Shah could not have been more hospitable, genial, chatty, kind and willing and able to recommend dishes had we needed guidance. Delicious food in generous portions, with reasonable prices. We would definitely recommend a visit and will do so ourselves again, next time we are in the area . Thku for a very nice evening . Edward C

Not been to the Royal Bengal in Hadleigh for sometime but Heard some great reports from friends in Hadleigh saying it was under new management and worth a look.
so Tonight as I was in Hadleigh with some mates we went to the Bengal for a meal. All I can say is Wow the food was Amazing service was really good I will definitely be returning in the near future 10/10 👍
Fantastic meal with the family the food was delicious and service is always terrific. Walked in as a table of five this evening and were seated straight away can’t recommend enough! Lovely red wine too ;)
Tonight we visited with our children . We thoroughly recommend this restaurant as the food is lovely, reasonably priced and the staff very accomodating. The man serving was really friendly.
Tried the takeaway service for the first time.The Staff are very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable whilst waiting for my order.Shah’s customer service was above and beyond.Our food was made to order as we waited around 20mins ( a good thing ) food was still very hot after the 10 min drive home and was very nice indeed..only small thing they could improve on was to put a little more veg in the veg korma! Will use again
Superb food. Waitress very good at her job and polite and friendly. Manager such a lovely man. Hope they do well in the future. They deserve it👍
