A great place with amazing food. A real treat on a Sunday afternoon, home cooked food that is simply delicious. The staff and grounds are outstanding! A real gem of a place!!

We visited the Eagle & Child Inn this evening for a birthday meal with family. We hadn't booked a table but the staff were wonderfully accommodating despite it being a very busy time. The food was beautiful and the manager ensured my mum's birthday cake was brought to the table, candles lit to the tune of 'Happy Birthday'... the other guests in the restaurant even joined in with the singing making the evening even more special! Thank you all xxx

First visit today but will definately come again and would highly recommend. Lovely friendly staff, service was great, prices just right and the food was gorgeous. Me and hubby had steak which was done to perfection.... we would consider the best steak in North Wales and will be back again soon.

This is a lovely pub in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive. One word of warning - if you are travelling from Prestatyn then the road is very steep and winding with 2 very sharp bends. The pub itself is really nice inside and out and the staff are really friendly. We can recommend the home made curry as it was really nice with big chunks of chicken.

First time there and celebrating my 50th with my family, would definitely recommend, staff were lovely, food was fantastic highly recommend roast of the day but don't snack before you go as portions are definitely not skimpy - I may not need to eat for days lol

Absolutely superb location, brilliantly well kept pub and gardens and the food was delicious and plentiful. Definitely worth a visit if you are in this area with the family. We will be back again. Mixed grill was fantastic and the service was fast and very courteous. Thank you.

The most friendliest pub , we have been made to feel so welcome from the very first day we visited by Sue , Clinton and their locals . Great food , great beer , great company and to top it off a great fire .

Took some finding but we'll worth it! ! Fantastic food and reasonably priced. Portion size on the generous side but food cooked to order. Staff friendly and attentive but not over bearing. Will certainly be back

Traditional welsh pub food, hearty, large portions and plenty of options, including a specials menu. Very impressive! Price point was great, our teenagers eat off the main menu but the kids menu looked fab! Plenty of tables- we had booked and I would advise to call ahead and book as they had a lot of reserved tables. Garden is lovely and separate pub area at the front. You can wear walking boots, or heels so that keeps everyone happy! Will be retuning. My steak was very tasty, I couldn’t finish, it was so big which was lovely to see! I often find portions getting smaller these days. Steak and Guineas pie was also lovely and the burgers! Too full for pudding but we will save space next time.

A lovely pub this. We had a great lunch; tasty food and plenty of it too. Sue the Host and her staff were kind, efficient and pleasant. They also have a beautiful garden where you can sit and eat. Very happy with our experience. Well done Eagle and Child!

First of all we went due to the amount of people we know saying it was wonderful food and atmosphere, re the whole of the area, absolutely beautiful, relaxing and really quaint. However the food didn't taste as my wife expected it to, based on the hype, my wife had the beef and it was a bit bland, the veg and everything else spot on, she has had better at other places, I had the scampi, but in all honesty scampi is scampi and I did enjoy it so can't say it wasn't right, it was. Maybe it was a dodgy day for the chef, and truthfully, we will go back but more for the ambience and atmosphere. Try it by all means. I'm not asking for people not to go, after all 90% of the tables are reserved so maybe my wife and I have lost a bit of our tastebuds. Go and enjoy, I'd still recommend it.

I love this pub. Set in the middle of nowhere and a proper good old local pub. Me and my family have been going to the Eagle and Child for years and have never had a bad meal. Prices are very reasonable, quality is absolutely spot on and I highly recommend the Mega Eagle burger

This was the second time we stayed in the village, just a few yards from the pub. Really friendly place, great service and delicious food. Can get a bit busy on weekends so best to book ahead. Over a few days we had lunch, evening meals and a couple of cheeky pints. Recommended and will visit again.

Went with our WI Supper club, staff couldn't have been more helpful and were very well organised giving us our own area of the pub, good menu and everyone enjoyed their meal very well organised for people paying their bills individually, large car park. Will return with family and also to the beautiful gardens

Visited here recently and it's a lovely pub. The gardens are very well kept and the food is really nice if not a bit expensive. It is nice though. You get loads of beef/chicken on the Sunday dinner.

Had a fab lunch on the way home from a lovely stay in North Wales. We chose the hot beef, mushrooms & onion baguette & salad with a side of chunky skin on fries, was delish 😋 Staff were very good & gave great service. Highly recommend calling in for food & a good choice of drinks. Only negative was the only no alcohol beverage beside soft drinks was one bottled beet, maybe not a big seller so limited stock but wouldn't put me off visiting in future 🤞
