Staying with friends across the road from this great pub. Proper good food at a good price and the best home cooked chips I have had in ages...just like me mum used to make. Always worth a visit

Fantastic Saturday afternoon spent at The White Hart, Chilsworthy. Amy and Ian have turned this into a great pub with a really good atmosphere. Having gone to watch the six nations rugby, our disappointment with the England result was eased by the ambiance in the pub. Pasties and chips were brought out at half time which was really nice. There is a great selection of real ales from four different breweries and refreshingly Tribute was not one of them. The Landlords and locals are really friendly and with the wood burning stove blazing and the snow falling outside it made for a great afternoon. We look forward to returning soon.

15TH March roast pork or turkey with fabulous veg at six pounds each. Plus home made puddings of apricot and rubarb crumble and bread and butter with ice cream and custard. Excellent real ale. Great service and roaring log burner. Totally relaxing, unpretentious pub with dogs. Music gigs are also a feature.

A really nice and proper country pub set in a beautiful area in the south west. Stunning views from the balcony across the Tamar Valley with Dartmoor in the distance, I could even see Brentor church. As for the beer and food, there were 3 ales available of which I tried 2 and they were great. We both had fish pie which was reasonably priced. I have to say that it was probably the nicest fish pie I'd ever eaten in a pub or restaurant, well recommended!

Well !!! what can we say … what a lovely hidden gem .. owners very friendly.. daughter and boyfriend had a fabulous Sunday roast ( kind of the pub to allow them to eat as it was after the pub’s lunch finish time slot, looked fantastic)😄I had the mini trio desserts with espresso.. ( compliments to the chef) it is one of the most lovely puddings I’ve ever had in my life ( and I’m an old gal !! 😂😂😂) , person that served us was so friendly which added to the experience , very dog friendly pub too.. locals very chatty and friendly …definitely recommend this establishment.. give it a try .. we’ll be back … PS Thank you from our dog for her treats 😄 shame we don’t live more close.. would be a regular visitor 😃… with many thanks and much appreciation. 😃 18/5/2023 … sadly closed at the mo .. hope it reopens soon 🤞

Great food and a great family friendly atmosphere, with an amazing view whilst you eat. Visited with my family including children and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The Food was really yummy, home cooked food, and the selection was just right offering something for everyone. The portions were generous and the quality shone through every bite, with this in mind the value for money was outstanding. Would recommend this place for anyone in the area as it really is something special. I had the venison chilli and it was amazing!

Where do we begin with our praise for what Ian, Katy & their staff are doing with this beautiful, rural pub. Having found ourselves staying in Chilsworthy by accident it ended up being the best thing that had happened. Situated in the heart of the village, what these fantastic people are doing for their community deserves more acclaim than I can write here. We turned up with our son, Josh... his girlfriend Ella... our two dogs, and didn't know a soul. We were welcomed with open arms and chatted to as if we'd been locals for years. Ian & Katy are your perfect hosts, and despite being hit with every hurdle possible during the last few years, have 100% put their lives up for their village. The pub is beautiful, the views stunning, atmosphere incredible.... and after one week we leave with the hosts now friends. A must visit to anyone coming down this way. You will not be disappointed. We saw the tv programme with Tom Kerridge about this pub and promised ourselves we’d go there. Well today was the day, what can I say other than it was a charming traditional pub with amazing views. Very friendly pub, absolutely the best pub food we had all ever had. Mum and I had a wonderful plaice dish which would rival a top end restaurant. Extremely good value for money. Love it. Worth our 200 mile round trip from Cornwall, we’ll be back! Oh, not forgetting the entertainment, Harry the dog! Thanks.

Absolutely incredible. Went for the Roast Pork and was easily the best ‘Pub Lunch’ we’ve ever had. Far above and beyond any other pub. Everything was cooked to *PERFECTION*. A MUST visit. Incredible. All the other pubs near by were fully booked and thank god they were. Staff were incredible, food was delightful. 100/100 ⭐️

Great country pub where we sampled the Sunday Carvery which was first class. Ambience was exemplary and the welcome we received was very friendly. It was quite busy and even though we hadn’t booked, the staff made every effort to accommodate us. Highly recommend.

Went for anniversary celebration eat out in, early evening on a weekday so not too busy. The pub is a lovely old building, atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The veranda is showing signs of needing replacement, but has lovely views. Food service was fast and friendly. The main point though is how amazing the food was. Delicious! Great portion sizes, great value. Nicely kept beer! Had a pleasant evening.
