The takeaway chocolate cake was awesome! Thank you. Looking forward to sampling the rest of the menu sitting in at one of the very pretty tables soon!

Had a cup of tea and a scone here the other day, and I'm not kidding - with the exception of my grandma's treacle scones, the scone I had here (lemon and poppy seed, served with lemon curd and clotted cream) was the best scone I've ever eaten in my entire life. And I've eaten a fair few. Can't recommend highly enough!

A friend and I popped in for a coffee and a scone and we both thought the food was lovely and the atmosphere was really warm and cosy but what stood out to us was the incredibly friendly customer service which really made the experience.

There are a lot of cafés {as well as golf courses} in Gullane. My preferred café is the Cherish Vintage Tearoom where the staff are always friendly. This may not be the "trendy" place to go but the coffee, cakes and scones are good quality and great value. For example, the café don't list macchiato but after a brief description they produced one of the best around Edinburgh. And yes, I did order a second and yes, it was as good as the first. We also ordered a chocolate banana cake which looked lush of chocolate. The taste of banana came through giving a nice balance of flavour; good enough for the whole slice to disappear rapidly. Next time we may try one of the grand looking scones or even the home made soup which had been recommended by the people sitting next to us. Roll on our next walk along the coast.

I ordered party lunch bags for my daughters birthday. Cherish have a wide range of items you can choose from to make up the bag and are happy to apply a theme if required. My daughter and her friends loved the food and the Harry Potter theme. The cupcakes came in Gryffindor colours and were topped with a chocolate frog. The bags were reasonably priced.

Lovely coffee, and scones are pretty much perfect: delicate crust, and nicely moist. Also had a slice of orange cake which was great with fab marmaladey orange pieces. And well priced compared to the usual Gullane premium - thanks!

Been quite a few times to cherish, it's dog friendly for a start But the food is the main reason for us going. Today, went for homemade soup and sandwiches. No a wee bowl of soup, a proper bowl of homemade soup, like yir granny would make! Sandwiches - cheese and chutney, accompanied with some crisps. Freshly made, quality cheese and a tasty chutney. A pot of tea for 2, could have done 4. Only comment, take the teabags out if you don't want strong tea, that's just a personal choice Great food and good value for money

What a lovely place. Stopped off for lunch one day with a friend and the food was fabulous. After lunch we had cupcakes and coffee. The cupcakes were delicious. Spotlessly clean and well organised. The two ladies serving were pleasant and attentive. Lovely emporium downstairs that brought back memories of a time when the world was "normal". I would highly recommend this tearoom. My friend and I will definitely be back.

Always a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Creative with dietary requirements and accommodating wherever possible. Love being able to take my dairy free child out and know they are in safe hands.

Lovely home made pea soup and delicious blueberry and lemon scone. Tea served in a teapot with china cup and saucer. Nice little emporium too with both new local craft and antique gift items.
