What a wonderful meal. I ordered a special of portobello mushrooms layered with thick slabs of goat cheese. Almost too rich, but so yummy. Joe had liver and onions that was devoured. Our service was great and the convivial atmosphere of the pub which included families with young kids was great. This is horse country and the you will see momentos all around you.

Have just spent the weekend at The Hollow Bottom. The whole experience was amazing. The bedrooms have been upgraded since our last visit and are very smart, as always we found the Food, Staff & atmosphere way beyond what we can find anywhere else which is why we come up as often as possible from London. Highly Recommended.

The Hollow Bottom in the Cotswolds is one of my all-time favorites! I can't get enough of their delicious food, especially the Sunday Roast—it's a must-try! The cozy ambiance and charming decor make it a perfect spot, and the service is always exceptional, making each visit a memorable experience.

This place is such a gem of a find. We've been a few times and never been disappointed. This weekend we visited for Sunday lunch with extended family, 5 adults, 2 children and a dog. Everything was great as always, but the aspect that really stood out for everyone was how innovative and interesting the menu was. A lot of thought had been put in and everyone was delighted, from starters to dessert. Would highly recommend!

The Hollow Bottom is a true countryside treasure! I can't rave enough about this place. The Sunday roast is absolutely amazing – it's like a taste of home-cooked perfection. The fact that it's dog-friendly adds an extra layer of charm. The lovely staff makes you feel right at home, and the cozy atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal. Whether you're enjoying the company of your four-legged friend or just seeking a warm and welcoming dining experience, The Hollow Bottom deserves a solid 5 stars. It's a delightful country pub that hits all the right notes.

Exceptional customer service and a really warm welcome. The team were amazing with our little girl (even when she knocked over an entire glass of juice!) Food: great portions and really delicious. Set in a beautiful village for a post-lunch walk.

Friendly local pub. Went for late Sunday lunch. Tasty except for the roast potatoes which could have done with crisping however we went at the end of a very busy service so that can be forgiven. Overall warm, cosy, friendly atmosphere.

An excellent, classic pub in an otherwise small village. Traditional ales as well as the usual drinks also had a well-rounded wine list. The food was excellent, one of the best scotch eggs I've had and a beautifully cooked bavette steak. Highly recommend.

I popped into the Hollow Bottom on my way through Cheltenham whilst travelling the Cotswolds (on holiday from Sydney, Australia). I must say..... wow.... I am impressed. What a venue. I ordered the Honey Roasted Duck Breast that was so exceptional I had to meet the Chef. A lovely young chap. Was amazed at how talented he was for his age. Like the food the hospitality and service was second to none. I will be recommending The Hollow Bottom and Chef to all future friends popping into Cheltenham. 5 STARS.

Great pub in a fantastic location, very friendly manager and excellent chef, food is amazing. I was a regular visitor a few years back and although they have recently been taken over by Youngs, they’ve kept the independent feel…..except they don’t take cash….hence the one star….shame ☹️ now they take cash it’s definitely 5 star.
