For me this is the best chippy in Guisborough. Fish cooked to order so be prepared to wait a bit. And they only have a small frier so can run out of chips quickly if busy.. but worth the wait.

One of the best fish and chips I've had in the uk. Fish was delicious and batter was crispy. Very pleasant chap who served us.

First time here, had large fish and small chips. The fish was massive, glad I didn't buy the large chips. The fish was delicious, best I've had for a long time. Certainly better than any I had in 13 years in NZ. Will definitely be back.

I don't usually do reviews but this place is worthy of one.....Absolutely spot on. Probably go as far as saying best Cod and Chips I've ever had.

Fast service from fridge to takeaway. We came in at around 3.45.

We have recently move and currently going through the local takeaways to ascertain which is our favourites for when the kids come to stay, it is such an awful task having to eat the food but someone has to do it for research. Westgate Fish Bar is so far on our list the best, the chips are gorgeous

Good fish and chips, they don't come in a box, but wrapped in paper, which I quite like. The fish is cooked to order so its very fresh, the only downside is having to wait a while. Usually excellent Cod, always fresh and white with batter never greasy always crisp.. This manager knows his fish and always customer friendly. Definitely best in the area including Stokesley.

Impromptu stop on the way home and we found this amazing chip shop at half 7 on Friday night and the all the food we had was amazing, the fish was cooked and battered to perfection and the chips were just the best!! would definitely recommend to anyone in the area
