I have been here with my family for the last 3 weeks for Sunday carvery. The food is amazing, delicious meats and very good selection of accompaniments cooked to perfection, good prices and friendly helpful staff. We will definitely continue to return however the experience could be made even better if the queue could go a bit quicker you would be heading for perfection in my opinion if that was achieved.

Had a carvery here today! It was delicious! Everything cooked to perfection, all meats were lovely. A nice variety of veg and lovely gravy. Also had triple chocolate fudge cake for dessert and my partner had a brownie sundae, both amazing! Easy to get the pram in and out which was a bonus lol. Great value for money. Have tried loads of carveries in the area and this was the best! Definitely would recommend and will be coming again. Only criticism is the poor lad serving the carvery was running backwards and forwards all the time as he kept running out of veg because it was so busy, he was lovely and polite though. Maybe get someone else to help him top it up as the queue was building up while he was away x

After seeing the fox inn now does carvery's we thought we'd give a try soo glad we did it was up there with some of the best we've had the only thing that let it down was the mushy peas tasted like tinned apart from that one thing everything else was fresh, roast potatoes where yummy and the meat was beautifully cooked highly recommend this place will be returning very soon.

We stopped here for lunch as we were visiting the area while on a break for Easter. The pub was quite busy and there was only one member of staff working behind the bar but she was cheerful and helpful. We ordered for the six of us and had quite a long wait (understandably, given the busy nature of the pub) but the food was enjoyed by all. We all managed to get something to eat - one vegan, one vegetarian, one meat eater and three meat-eating kids, and we all enjoyed what we got. The pub is dog-friendly in non-carpeted areas and there was plenty of room for the two dogs as well. It was reasonably priced, and if we were in the area again we would more than likely pop in. Well done to the staff member behind the bar for staying calm, helpful and professional at such a busy time.

Went with the daughters football team to watch the Lionesses quarter final. Loved the pub, the service was excellent, drinks choice was wide and varied and the daughter enjoyed her food 😊. Cheers!

Myself, colleague and client have popped in here twice now on a Sunday for Sunday lunch and were impressed. They are very accommodating and understanding towards my clients' needs and allowed us to order a kids roast dinner too when we explained that she likes us to eat the same as her!

Would have been a 5 had it not been for the loud mouthed morons persistently swearing on a nearby table. Excellent pint.

Was somewhere to get out head down for the night. Room was clean enough but the shower could have done with a good clean down. Bit disappointed we couldn’t get some food at 6pm after driving for 4/5 hours and no breakfast to offer. Lack of information in the room, ie. internet password or contact information in case of night emergencies. No mirror or remote and bathroom light didn’t work (used the shaving light) Room was a bit cold on arrival so had to ask for heating.

Great pub. Great food and very nice staff. It was a quiet mid-week night we went but it was lovely, can see it being a really popular place to go. IMHO, stay away from other well known franchise in the town (how do you eat soup) and come here for better food, drink and atmosphere. 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

We go in early evenings often with our dog when it is reasonably quiet. Always plenty of room to sit and chat in this large pub . Several TVs showing sport and can be seen from most seats. Staff are always friendly. We have had the Sunday carvery in the past and it was very nice, and excellent value for money. They do food most other days as well. Standard selection of beers and lagers - John Smith's, Guinness, Moretti, San Miguel, Stella, Camden Town and more..
