Sunday Carvery easily one of the best on Teeside, excellent size portion of meat and fantastic flavour throughout the food, friendly young bar lad providing excellent service today Sunday 21st as just dropped in and provided without outstanding service.
Look forward to trying again. Desserts homemade and too die for 😋
The food was lovely. 2 of us had rib eye steak, which was cooked exactly as we asked. The other 2 in our party had steak pie, and again, it was lovely. Very generous portions. Service was good. It lacked a little atmosphere. The music wasn't turning on until everyone except us had left, and we were about to go. It's just a little thing, but it makes a difference to an evening. I would definitely go again and recommend, as the food and service were good.
Lovely place, can't believe I'd never been here before. We sat in the main restaurant, which was pleasant enough, service was good and food well presented and served quickly. Passed through the pub on the way in and it looked really cosy, will definitely try that next time. Only negative point was that the beef in the stroganoff was very plain and tasteless - but everything else was delicious.
Love this place in a lovely countryside surrounding. Various seating either inside or out and the food is amazing, don't know how my husband ate that fish 🐠 but he did greedy guts
Booked a table of 5 for Sunday carvery, seated in the conservatory area, which I would definitely recommend, drinks order taken within 5 mins of being seated, we all had the regular carvery, more than enough, they let you know when to go up to the carvery, so no long queues. Selection of meat, we all agreed all were cooked to perfection, selection of vegetables, mash and home made Yorkshire pudding. We also opted for desserts, again delicious

My son and daughter in law, had there wedding reception here on the 24 April, the food was lovely the staff were easy going nothing was to much trouble. The venue is lovely the grounds were gorgeous for the pictures. Thank you to all involved.

Didn't eat in the restaurant but in the cosy bar area. Log fire, items hanging on the walls, and ceilings bring the bar to life. Cosy seating areas make this a perfect place to relax. Service top notch, food fantastic, prices great.
At 1 o'clock on a Friday, we were surprised at how busy it was. We had booked in advance, which is to be recommended, especially if you are in a larger group. The staff are always lovely here. We ordered the smaller plate dishes, most of us going again for the roast dinner (choice of three meats). Delicious and very good value at £9. And the desserts are all amazing, but particularly the rice pudding.
Stopped here on the way back from whitby on a whim and a suggestion from a friend. They managed to squeeze us in and within 2 minutes of that we were straight in the carvery.
Amazing food and service. Wish it was a bit closer! Thanks to staff and the chefs for making it a win
