Sunday Carvery easily one of the best on Teeside, excellent size portion of meat and fantastic flavour throughout the food, friendly young bar lad providing excellent service today Sunday 21st as just dropped in and provided without outstanding service. Lovely place, can't believe I'd never been here before. We sat in the main restaurant, which was pleasant enough, service was good and food well presented and served quickly. Passed through the pub on the way in and it looked really cosy, will definitely try that next time. Only negative point was

Didn't eat in the restaurant but in the cosy bar area. Log fire, items hanging on the walls, and ceilings bring the bar to life. Cosy seating areas make this a perfect place to relax. Service top notch, food fantastic, prices great.
At 1 o'clock on a Friday, we were surprised at how busy it was. We had booked in advance, which is to be recommended, especially if you are in a larger group. The staff are always lovely here. We ordered the smaller plate dishes, most of us going again for the roast dinner (choice of three meats). D
Stopped here on the way back from whitby on a whim and a suggestion from a friend. They managed to squeeze us in and within 2 minutes of that we were straight in the carvery. Amazing food and service. Wish it was a bit closer! Thanks to staff and the chefs for making it a win
