Great lovely pub with amazing patio when sunny! Pizzas are amazing, big and great crust! Friendly service! There’s a kids menu available.
We had our evening meal here as we were going to a gig locally. The staff we very friendly and helpful. I'm told the beer was well looked after and my cider was great too. The food available was a fairly basic menu - sharers, burgers, pizza and pub favourites but each was nicely cooked and tasty. Flame cooked pizza in a pub is a rarity.
The pub is an old building and I would have liked to see more of it but we sat near the entrance and I personally didn't go to the bar. Will visit again.
This is a beautiful pub off the beaten track in the historic castle quarter. There is a mix of ages and genders but generally attracted people in their 30s and 40s. It's got a really good menu of elevated pub classics. And they have espresso and passionfruit martinis on tap. The garden and roof terrace are chef's kisses and perfect for spending a sunny day.
Good atmosphere and area in town. Staff are generally friendly and the outdoor seating is great. The food is quite good, although the burger packed seasonsing. It is as expensive as the typical Guildford pub but worth visiting.
Been a regular visitor of the King's Head for several years now. The food is excellent but more importantly on a Friday/Saturday night it has the best atmosphere.
Drinks are a bit on the pricey side but I guess that's the price you pay for being the most successful pub in Guildford!
It was raining, although we were outside we didn't get wet, well played. Food was great and nice, friendly staff. Very good atmosphere, everything was relaxed and calming. Highly recommend
Young vibrant happening pub that was really busy for a Monday night.
As a 60+ year old revisiting my Guildford teens the only thing that had really changed over the last nearly 50 years was me. Still a great pub, still a place for the young set, oh happy memories.
Food was great, had a chicken burger and some loaded fries.
I love a chicken burger and this did not disappoint, it was fantastic.
Food came quickly and was a reasonable price. Forgotten what everyone else had but there were no complaints from around the table. Everyone loved it.

Wow, so we are new to Guildford and ended up in The Kings Head by accident. The evening atmosphere is fantastic, its busy at the bar but there is no waiting more than a couple minutes. They have an excellent selections of beers, lagers, ales, ciders, spirits etc.
As for food, when ordering 2 lunches, 2 drinks and a side came to £44, I was astonished, expecting a disappointing overpriced pub lunch. But the food arrived quickly, portion sizes were large but not wasteful, and the quality was amazing, arriving hot but the right temperature to eat. The ribs fell off the bone making them easy and clean to eat. The cod and chips had proper home oven chips, thin batter on the cod. And the cod was still moist and succulent.
If I could afford it, I would visit the Kings head for every meal.
Highly recommended!!!
Will update next visit for other dishes :D
Lovely outside space, nice food, pets welcome too.
