This was our second visit to Shah’s and the food was great, place was empty and not sure why as it probably the best Indian restaurant in Guildford, service was a bit slow and drinks too a long time but still a fantastic meal will be back often.
Absolutely surprised with this place. I been in lots of another restaurants like this (indian) and for to be honest was the best for me. The only detail is that the meat plates should be ( in my opinion) more charged of meat because it has lots of sauce that is absolutely tasty, but not as lot meat ( chicken,lamb....). Out of that detail absolutely good

Super tasty garlic nan with a bit sweet taste, soft and chewy texture. I wanted to try something new so I chose chicken naga for my curry, the waiter warn me that it's going to be so so hot! But yah I ordered it anyway and mann it's literally super hot no kidding lol. I was crying, eating it tbh 😂 but however, still a really delicious dish, perfect with garlic nan. I ordered rice as well, but I'm more a fan of nan so rice was just alright to me. And finally for the dessert, I got Halwa which is kinda carrot and smt else which I'm not sure about cooked warm and sweet served with 2 ice cream. Such a perfect combination of them tbh, I would really recommend if you're a sweet tooth person like me. 😬
Visited Guildford after a good 2+ years reminiscing my Uni days. I definitely had to visit Shah's new restaurant Shah's Secreto! Passionate as he always was, Shah's expertise pours down to perfection at this restaurant. Vibrant colors, bursting flavors and great service! Taif and Shah made sure we had the best of time there and we did. Their selection boasts ofd not just the traditional curry house menu but authentic dishes like Jol Ki Raani, Goan Fish, Lamb Shank, Nehari, Naga. Trust me these are only a few I name. Definite go to, highly recommended.
Celebrates my son's pre-wedding party the food ,service and atmosphere was amazing would recommend to all my family and friends thank you Shah .
Lamb thaka(?) curry; pulled lamb sizzling on onions and peppers had that with the veggie rice it was fantastic. Nice staff too, Shah himself very freindly

Had a birthday party with 12 of us great friendly service & not one of us could fault the food it was that good & the price was excellent…Thanks Shahs for giving us a great night.
I like so much this restaurant, we tried for first time and the plates was very tasty, I recommend chiken tikka masala. We will come back.

I have been going to Shah’s for take out and dining in, since they opened. I have never had a bad experience with either the staff or food. Both have been a great experience and quality, and therefore are the only place I go for Indian food. It is a pleasant atmosphere to dine in and the staff are very pleasant whether eating in or collecting a take away. The price I feel falls in line with good food and the general area, and will not use Deliveroo who take 35% of total and bump up the prices. Enjoy. 🤗
Had a Christmas Eve meal here and really enjoyed it. I had a vindaloo with pilau rice and a paratha and my wife had tandoori chicken and pilau with a glass of wine. We also had poppadoms and pickles, £50 the lot. Service was efficient and meals were great with lovely flavours and just the right amount of heat. Only criticism would be the amount of chicken in the vindaloo however my wife couldn’t eat all of her half chicken so it worked out well..yum! All in All a very pleasant experience and would certainly come again
Excellent food and very friendly polite staff, I especially loved the chicken tikka cubes at the Sunday Buffet which was delicious, you could tell it was freshly cooked in the tandoor oven and onion bhajis were delicious. I will be a frequent visitor going forward.
Popped in Saturday lunchtime just after they opened. Really nice, well cooked food and great, friendly staff!
Service always brilliant and probably the best curry in town especially when eating in house. Take away still good but the fresh aroma of pan cooked food is always best eaten straight from the kitchen. Well done.
