Consistently great pub. Everyone who works here is warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Very dog friendly, with dogs positively welcomed and spoiled rotten during their visit! Food is excellent and generous and there are gardens front and back which are well maintained and lovely to sit in on a warm day. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Standard pub fare - not the sort of food you'd travel to eat, but equally you won't have your soul crushed if you need to stop off here for a bite. Decent beer garden out the back.
Good selection on light bites for a quick lunch with relaxed outdoor seating. Good quality and economic, very enjoyable!

Stopped briefly on a sunday mid afternoon , a lovely country pub, fairly quiet and very welcoming. Staff are absolutely lovely here. Shame as the kitchen was closed but able to order drinks and snacks from the bar.

We were at the cricketers to say a fond farewell to a much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. From my first visit to make arrangements to the moment we arrived from the cemetery to the time we left, Kevin, Jade and Chucky were extremely pleasant, highly professional and couldn't have been more helpful. The buffet was well presented and plentiful, but more importantly the garden area and indoor space were perfect for the occasion and easily accommodated the 70+ people. I cannot thank the staff enough for making the day the best it could be.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. What more could you want? The kids play house was fun for my boys and the entire pub was spotlessly clean. Really great visit.
I had a very pleasant meal outside in the sun at The Cricketers. The food was very reasonably priced and very tasty. The staff were attentive without hanging around the table. The table service was quick, and the pub provided a text message number to order things or just get their attention. We didn't use it once but it was a good idea.
Everything was very clean and the garden was well tended.
All in all it was a very pleasant few hours in the sun.
Atmosphere lovely,staff efficient, food great just what we wanted. couldn't do enough for us, family of nine.
