The Brikkies is our "local", always friendly, excellent food and most importantly doggy friendly. We had our wedding reception there and were treated like royalty. Can't recommend them enough

Great place for all the family or for a business lunch. Wood burner, big comfy sofas and for those a little more energetic pool table and dart board. Great food and superb selection of real ales, lagers and wines.

Booked for a meal for a Friday evening and everything was wonderful. Delicious food was served by very nice waiters and waitresses. The garden is large and nicely arranged and there is parking too. Whitebait, bread and olives, fish and chips and scampi were all tasty and nice portions. We will definitely be back, on our motorbikes next time. 😘

Carl n Paula run a very nice pub infact, the exact sort of pub they want to go to so. The beer is kept exceptionally well and the food whilst not fancy is created and cooked freshly for you. The portions are generous and served by people who want you to have a lovely meal. Would we recommend this pub as a good watering hole to refresh and feed the weary traveller? Absolutely!!

I was more than pleasantly surprised to taste the perfectly cooked fish and chips meal at the Bricklayers Arms yesterday lunchtime 30th March 2023. Not only were the fish and chips with of course mushy peas, perfectly cooked but in addition the ingredients were obviously of a high quality. Well done ,and this coming from someone who migrated south from the land of fish and chips.

Absolutely stellar pub in a beautiful location. Interior is cosy and warm, staff are friendly, and the food is absolutely brilliant! The Sunday roast is to die for. Deserts are homemade each day and absolutely lush. Cannot recommend enough

First time I've been back to this place in years. I was pleasantly surprised. Extremely friendly staff, nice Ale, good food, plus a wood fire on a cold evening. What's not to like. Recommended

Great food! My wife had the soup of the day and the bread was local and the best bread she'd ever had. My wife loved the mac'n'cheese with bacon and I really enjoyed the Tuscan chicken on pasta. Big portions but we had enough room to share the milk chocolate and Crunchie cheesecake which was absolutely to die for! Good-sized car park, nice outdoor seating area. Very friendly staff.

It's my local pub so I won't be too biased here but jokes aside, food staff and atmosphere is all top notch, definitely worth going to if you're in the Shamley Green area 👍

We turned up for a drink at Sunday lunchtime and despite being very busy they were able to fit us in for lunch as well. Good people, lovely roast and great beers and cider. Definitely amongst the best.

You cannot fault the staff, service or food in this pub. Always friendly, attentive and cheerful. The food is always fantastic, great portions and reasonably priced. The specials change regularly and are a good addition to an already varied menu. There is also excellent outdoor seating, and for the winter, inside has a cosy traditional pub feel.

Lovely pub, very friendly service and great homemade food that’s decently priced and portioned. Crumble was lovely and you could definitely taste that it was home made it was yummy! The only let down was that we had hoped to get a nut roast as me and my mum are vegetarian and there was none left! But the alternative I had , macaroni cheese with garlic bread was very nice and again quite rustic and homemade

Always a lovely place to go. Lovely fresh cooked food. Have a small snack or a large meal, the food is excellent pub food. Nice older/traditional style pub, nice outdoor space, helpful staff (even when the customers are a little challenging!!) and they don't mind if you only go in there for a coffee.

Friendly and helpful staff. Always give a warm welcome to new and regular patrons. Food is of the highest standard. If planning to go for Sunday roast, best to book in advance as get booked up very quickly. Very well priced for the quality.
