Lovely atmospheric pub full of intimate and open spaces with lovely gardens. We sat under the grape pergola-perfect table for big party and so cool on a hot day! Food was well portioned, hot and tasty. I had the Steak and Ale pie- more like a pudding though- full of meat and good servings of fresh veg and mash. I pinched a sweet potato chip from someone's plate- yum! Sarnies are triple layers full of filling, a side salad and chips. All enjoyed their food and most couldn't manage it all. Steve was a lovely friendly landlord and even gave me a bottle of prosecco to celebrate my special day... Will return! Dogs welcomed, bowls at dog table- even a place to share those PAW photos! For those that are less enamoured there are some dog free areas inside. Will return! In fact some of our group were already arranging their visits in the near future! Thank you Steve and staff for a lovely warm friendly afternoon with good food and drink- we loved it!

Lovely little country pub out the way. Parking is limited but managed to get a random spot in the mud. Food was good and timely and we have been here many times before. The pub was a little stretched staffing wise the poor staff were run off their feet as it was rammed. Tables were nicely spaced apart and covid safe. Weather was great so it was a very nice afternoon. Would always recommend this pub. Little path down the side if you fancy a 20 min walk to settle the roast.

Very good experience in this pub, very beautiful decoration and good portions of food, it has a very big terrace with a bbq in the garden. Is pet friendly and it's close to the Withmor common if you want to go for a walk.

Popular Fullers English pub where locals and dog walkers can relax away from the world as time drifts past. Car park leads to spacious garden, numerous well spaced tables, large grape vine covered patio area for poor weather, and serve-yourself water bowls for dogs. Resturant inside and small bar area and tables which allows dogs (and few treats if behave). Good menu and prices, food hot and well cooked, daily specials. Friendly relaxed service complements the atmosphere.

Fantastic experience at the pub! Great staff, great food and great garden! We gave them a challenge with 26 of us showing up and they did an amazing job. Food, drinks and staff were all brilliant! Thank you!

Decent food for price, albeit it's slightly cheaper than most pubs. More of a pub to watch six nations with six pints rather than a gastro pub. Dog friendly.

Decent country pub with a good sized beer garden. Right in the edge of Whitmoor common so perfect for a mid-dog walk pit stop!
