Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, many of the other guests seemed regulars. And such a beautiful ambiance, feels like time has stopped! The menu features pub favourites, but with some very interesting twists. We loved our mains, and had to get pudding, which was also very good. We'll be
Good beer. I had Harvey's Sussex ale. Nice pub. We didn't eat. Great atmosphere. Well presented. Definitely worth a return visit
Nice and quiet place in ancient pub, very good food 👌
Excellent friendly service and I would definitely recommend visiting this lovely pub.
Have always passed this pub on our way to Shere but never got around to actually popping in. On our way back from Shere today we decided to pay a visit. What a simply delightful quintessential English pub this is. Wooden beams, fairy lights and candles around the fireplace. The lunch menu looked good
Food was amazing super friendly bar staff, we had a great evening out.
Great food, friendly service and everything you could want in an English pub.
Visited for Sunday dinner. Staff are lovely, no criticism at all. I liked the pub and the warm layout. Food wise, I found the beef was overcooked for my liking, with no pink at all, making it rather dry and needy of the gravy.. the rest was delicious Overall recommenced

Serves locally produced Shere Drop ale, and due to limited staff the on the day food was limited to variations on a jacket potatoe, nothing special
An excellent and real pub! Love it. Cosy. Feels like it's giving you a big hug.
Really good experience, food was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Well done.
Lunch stop for 3 biker lads, lovely garden setting, ale, food and service 2nd to none.
First visited over 50 years ago as a teenager. Always rated as one of my top 3 Surrey pubs. Been in Australia for last 20 years and this lunchtime revisit did not disappoint. Food great (Clandon pie & Steak & Kidney). Huge portions and great vfm. Good choice of beers on tap - yes Youngs is better th
Fabulous pub, the food is great, proper pub fare with home made pies, proper chips (or mash if you prefer) & fresh veggies, and the beers are good too. A good range well kept. Then there are the staff who are friendly, helpful and on the ball. Wendy, the landlady, is helpful and friendly, happy t
