LOVE the Withies! My family has been coming here since 1987, and every time we come the food does not disappoint. One thing to note is that they are incredible when it comes to food allergies or diet requirements. I personally have a dairy allergy and they have always been very good at making sure e
Thank you Hugh and Team for everything you done on Saturday for dads surprise 60th lunch. Your customer service was exceptional. The food was delicious. The table looked incredible outside decorated, thank you all for making it so special. The hotel rooms were amazing. Thank you all very much.
Loved our room here. My only complaint about the room is that ours was right next to a storage room so people going in and out of it was constant during restaurant hours. It was only an issue because we were jet lagged and sleeping at odd times. But the room was comfortable and well equipped despite
Great location. Quintessentially English. We hit it on a warm summer evening so as good as it gets. Came here 40 years ago and been a fan since then. Like most of the world I think I see a bit of post Covid strain and the UK economic situation is maybe impacting business as despite the balmy weather
Absolutely beautiful old Inn. Has retained its authentic charm and character. Food was excellent - especially recommend the apple crumble and the Sunday roasts. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.
Had a lovely stay over at The Withies, and the breakfast was fantastic! Great pub, friendly service and perfect if you’re visiting in the area.
Dover sole for lunch what more could you want . As always at Withies excellent service and good food in a charming atmosphere .
Food lovely. Location and service fabulous. Menu a little small, but so busy I understand that. Little bit pricey
Stopped off here for Sunday lunch on an extended 20km walk. Good food. Willing service. Pleasant atmosphere.
Stopped here for lunch, which was fantastic, and the garden has a ton of character. Really great country pub.
Always a pleasure to spend time at this proper old fashioned inn. The owners put a lot of love into the place and it shows. Guaranteed a warm welcome. Well kept ales. Pretty garden. Lots of oak and a cosy wood fire in season.
This very old pub/restaurant is very busy so I would book ahead if you can. The food was delicious if a bit too cold for me. As this is an old building watch your head as you walk around inside. They have plenty of tables outside with a few in little garden nooks to sit in
Great food made the way I like. I would say traditional but that's not quite accurate. Great menu of hearty food, really nicely cooked. Lovely staff though not always easy to get their attention. A little bit rustic and cramped but a great place to go if you want a really good meal.
Fabulous thanks, charming host stunning pub hotel, garden with dining kiosks. Very unusual tucked away in the countryside. Bit pricey, but terrific for a treat.
Stopped for lunch. It is a welcoming, lovely old pub/ restaurant. Fires made it look inviting. I had the baked potato with cheese and ham which was delicious especially as the cheese was melted. My partner had the salt beef sandwich, that he thoroughly enjoyed, saying the beef was lovely and ten
