I am notoriously picky when it comes to food, but just got home from The Olive Tree where chef Ade produced the best Sunday roasts ever (I had lamb, Mike had beef). Succulent meat, delicious vegetables & Yorkshire puddings were wonderful. Appreciation too to Gareth & front of house team.

Really good menu - lots of choice. Food was delicious. Staff are lovely. Haven't been there since it was The Fox & Hounds and it's now a lovely country pub. Highly recommend.

Excellent Sunday lunchtime visit for my birthday yesterday! Great service & cosy ambiance, enhanced by the fabulous open fire. Three generously portioned roast lunches cooked to perfection. Lovely to see vegetables that haven't been crucified! Desserts to die for especially chef's homemade salted caramel ice cream! Highly recommended.

Great place for Sunday roast. The pub itself is really nice with a nice atmosphere. The only minor negative is that it was a bit cold inside (not too bad though). The staff were all brilliant, very helpful and quick to attend to requests. Would definitely come back again!

Came here to watch the World cup rugby as A SA fan, proper beer well kept, fab menu and had some SA food on to make the visitors happy. Absolutely slammed it down with rain and marquee was getting flooded, landlady and staff in the rain with buckets clearing away the water. Absolute fantastic to see them jumping in. These folks care about their customers and their place. Cannot recommend enough.

Nice country pub with good service and food. Plenty of outdoor seating and in a very peaceful location. The location can also be a challenge, as there's limited transport options and most would need to drive. Luckily, there's plenty of parking but it does get full quite quickly. The service was very rushed when we visited, and there were only a few people trying their best, but were indeed rushed off their feet. Food was tasty and drinks were of average pricing. I'd return.

A really nice place to eat, I liked what their varied menu offered for normal eating, but not much on offer to vegetarians. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the service was good. The marquee near the building was very useful for people with pets and also for parents with young children to run around freely.

The food was excellent and the staff were really helpful and friendly when we were here. It is a blit out of the way, but well worth a visit. We went on a Saturday night and it is worth noting there was a live singer. The singer was very talented, but it depends what sort of night you want as it is not a large pub. Would definitely revisit.

This really is a wonderful country pub! We had a delicious lunch at the Olive Tree today. There’s plenty of parking on site and a great marquee set up in the beer garden if the weather isn’t on your side. Lots of picnic tables nicely spaced out a and a few cushions to make you as comfortable as possible. Covid-19 measures were also clearly in place with track and trace available or the option to leave your details manually and lots of hand sanitiser dotted around. Drinks and food were fabulous, as was the service from our lovely waitress Kate who was so very friendly and helpful (as were all of the staff). We both went for the moules frites (on the specials menu) and they were we’re plump, juicy, delicious and came with a huge portion of thick cut, well seasoned chips and some amazingly good hand cut bread to mop up the fantastic garlic and white wine sauce. They even thoughtfully included a finger bowl with lemon to clean your hands afterwards which was a great touch. Our drinks were refreshing and spot on for a hot day so I really can’t recommend this pub highly enough. Support local and get yourself down there with friends or family - you won’t be disappointed! Thank you to all of the team for a wonderful afternoon x

Weeknight date night... the pub was quiet and the food was superb! The pie was huge and homemade, not an industrial frozen version. The plant-based burger was excellent. Chips were cut beautifully and crispy, not thick and uncooked in the middle. This place is a gem. Thoroughly recommended!

Lovely quiet location in countryside. Nice pub and food, just a little bit on the pricy side. Service is good, with a good atmosphere.

A very good lunch of a bacon and brie open sandwich on granary bread and a bowl of butternut squash and chilli soup. A lovely pub, nicely decorated and super friendly staff and reasonably priced. Very good value for money. Other plates of food looked equally tasty.
