We had a large family and friends gathering to celebrate my sons 18th Birthday.
The food from the buffet was very nice. Not a huge selection on the buffet but what was on offer was very tasty and we could go up as often as we wanted. The buffet was kept full so nothing ran down low.
We have also been to the Ashuka in the evening and haven't been disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful and lovely food. We bought our well behaved son and they were very complimentary about his behaviour and willingness to try spicy foods.
We went on a Thursday night without reservation, got a table and was perfectly busy (not too loud not too quiet).
Staff (and we think, owners) were all lovely too. Would definitely recommend over the other locally acclaimed curry garden.
Ashuka is by far my favourite Indian restaurant. My partner and I try to go there every other week and we are never disappointed, even took family there when they came visit us. I’d recommend Ashuka for all the ages and groups, from a date night to a night out with friends. It’s just delicious!
The staff is always attentive and kind, the food is always exquisite, so I definitely recommend a visit.
Good value buffet lunch on Sundays (eat all you can), air conditioned comfort and good service. Reasonable choice of food, usually at least 3 different curries. Bright and airy restaurant, easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Update March 2020: much the same but looks to be under new management with new staff. Update July 2022: as good as ever, family do to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday and they surprised her with a small desert with sparkler fountain thing at the end. Very pleased, and looking forward to the next visit. Update March 2023: we've been back a few times over the past 11 months and it's still as good as ever. Update June 2023: as per March 2023
What can I say. My husband and I love the food there. Today they catered for our beaver colony in merrow and they service was fantastic. They put al into boxes so it was easy for 20 children to try. Packed beautifully. They food was so fantastic with the adults and the little people. I don’t normally like onion bhaji but theirs was crispy and the batter was divine. All I can say,

I haven’t been to Ashuka for a few years and fancied a family take out treat!
The prawn puri was excellent but two of the main curries (tikka masala, muli) were very runny, large chunks of chicken and a lot of sweet flavour. Pathia was good. The onion bajees unfortunately were hard and inedible.
Will try again but wonder if it was a one off or just how they make it these days. Service and packaging was good and food on time.
Had a delivery. Was delivered fast, hot and incredibly tasty! Highly recommend the chicken tikka..I've had a lot in many places but this is the best so far!
Gave some fantastic food to the Beavers of 1st Merrow. All the kids loved the food and gave them an opportunity to try something new!

Food was fantastic, the picture of the plate says it all. So much flavour in all our dishes. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything. The staff were knowledgeable and engaging with the table without being interfering. The feel of the place was buzzing, other tables having a great time like us. It's great to see considering some curry houses have no life. As for the price we couldn't argue for the quality Eight poppadoms (with pickles and chutneys) Four starters, four mains, four rice, four sides, four desserts and 11 pints of cobra ( on draft) for £182. Very reasonable for the quality of the food. Great job guys ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I thought I'd come out and say this ... tonight we had a takeaway from ashuka, since I have left my restaurant restaurant (The Rose Valley used to be in town) I can't remember the last time I have enjoyed a indian takeaway as much as tonight.. well done guys the food was very nice.

I had the lamb Dhansak tangy and spicy. Very good taste, best thing on the menu.
A family run Indian restaurant which also does takeaway.. The service is well organised and the food delish! Well worth going... Tonight the Chef went out of his way to cook one of my favourite Dishes.. and the service!!!

I have been visiting Ashuka Tandoori for past 6 month. The food tastes awesome. Excellent service, polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The owner is a gentleman, very polite , courteous & down to earth. A must visit place in Guildford to enjoy delicious cuisine.
