Special lunch for son’s birthday today - wonderful! The food here is fabulous, and the service was good - relaxed, not rushing us from one course to the next, very appropriate in the circumstances. Our starters were lovely - we shared a chilli aubergine dish, arancini, and padron peppers, then two of us had the bouillabaisse style fish stew - yummy! - and hubby very much enjoyed a small fillet steak with pancetta, mushrooms and scallops. Desserts enjoyed were XL eclair and deconstructed pavlova, followed by coffee. We shared a bottle of very pleasant Sauvignon Blanc. All in all, three very satisfied customers.
I saw that someone felt there was too much seafood on the menu - I think it’s great, and there are plenty of other choices which are superb, too. Their steaks are always excellent, they offer ramen, chicken, lovely burgers and great salads, the warm confit of duck salad being especially delicious.

My partner and i came to Octopus for dinner last week whilst on holiday. The whole evening from start to finish was superb. Some of if not the best seafood ive ever eaten. The seafood steam pot was fantastic, paired with great wine and friendly service. We will be back. Excellent!
Pretty cool place, nice view on the sea. The team is very friendly and the food was top-notch. Try the wagyu, you’ll never regret !
Had lunch today - 10-11-17 - Warm welcome from the young girl that showed me to my table - we had pre-ordered as we were a party of 11 and not 10 minutes had passed and I had drinks and my first course in front of me � Food was amazing - Steak cooked to perfection and the best tiramisu I’ve tasted in a very long time..! Even though they were busy the service was on point and would highly recommend. �

Having a special order of razor clams as our starter made my friends holiday, that followed by all the excellent seafood we had a wonderful night topped off by the fireworks off the castle! Thank you Octopus, I hope you all get a chance to put your feet up at some point!

Had a fabulous lunch yesterday, service and food both very good! Grateful to Delphine who squeezed us in even though it was already a busy Sunday. Looking forward to going back and sampling more of the menu. Would highly recommend.
Amazing dining experience! Friendly and efficient service. Warmly greeted on arrival. Food was superb. Fish and chips were perfect and the seafood bowls were spectacular. The atmosphere was wonderful with exceptional views across the bay. Would definitely return!
We were a party of 7, 2 of which were small children on Saturday for lunch. Our waiters were brilliant, so attentive and brilliant with the children. The food was outstanding, but my god, the portions were absolutely huge. Fantastic cocktails, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic setting. Go there, you won’t regret it. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Totally outstanding, we had such a lovely afternoon from the moment we arrived by Mariano to the time we left the staff were so attentive and friendly even if the restaurant it was so busy because of BH .The food was beautifully presented and tasted ,amazing so all my compliments for kitchen staff so cant wait to return ,honestly that’s my favourite restaurant because of the way how the staff treated you,seafood high quality and fresh the view so highly recommend. Fabulous! Menu superb! Staff Friendly, lots of seating outside either a view of St Peter Port. Very chilled vibes at lunchtime. We had oysters which were amazing then crab and lobster stew, wow! Definitely a place to go if you love seafood. Then you can pop down to the small beach there for a swim or paddle. Definitely a must if you're there for a short stay and away from all the crowds.
Top notch! Very good food and very friendly staff. The terrace is overlooking the sea and castle. When the weather is fine, it’s an amazing experience.

The Octopus restaurant is terrific ! The views across the bay are idealic, the food and service fantastic....giving you plenty if time to enjoy your food (service is slower.than normal restaurant's, but that's refreshing and relaxing)...nothing worse than being rushed ! We booked ahead as it was BUSY !!
Spur of the moment, popped across to Guernsey from Poole for the day on the Condor Liberation. Great crossing, good value, quick (ish) and gave us 4.5hrs free time onnthe island. Guernsey is a lovely place, clean and trouble free with good shops (they don't open Sundays!!).
Thanks for a great, we really had a lovely time and would definitely recommend visiting the restaurant. We will be back !!

Worth every one of the 5*. Attentive service. Amazing backdrop onto illuminated castle.well lit restaurant and many very happy guests.
Food also didn't disappoint at all. Scallops and oyster starters were fabulous. My spicy casserole of fish and whole crab was devine. Recommended stay... 2 hours of your life very well spent.

Lovely restaurant. Great views. Very fair prices. I had octopus casserole and sirloin steak both worth eating again. My wife had asparagus soup and haddock and fries. She was not very keen on the fish or batter. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Would have given five stars but for the fish.
