We ended up here on a Sunday night at about 9pm, a last-minute option due to a series of random mistakes on our part & no other options.
I've had a few stand-out meals in various different places, born of last-minute decisions & impulsive planning - this meal now sits highest among them.
The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive but not overbearingly so, & whilst they seemed busy there was neither a moment where I thought we'd been left too long nor rushed through.
We had three plates to share & the food was perfect. Delicate flavours, perfectly balanced. Filling yet not one of those meals where you wished you'd stopped three mouthfuls before.
As someone with a frankly stupid, grumpy digestive system that has left me not usually caring about eating out, I'd return here not just happily but enthusiastically, probably dragging everyone I know along. Honestly, I'm blown away by this random find which turned out to be one of my best meals out ever. Kudos to the wait & kitchen staff, you are rocking it.
Always excellent food and the best for Gluten free Chinese food. So much choice. Their app is absolutely amazing as well. You can select lots of options to be Vegan, Vegetarian or Gluten free. Best Chinese on the island
Lovely well decorated restaurant with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Pity there weren't bottles of Liberation ale available, or any othe ale. Very good quality food. I prefer small prawns rather than king prawns. There were many king prawn dishes but only one described as prawn, Chinese spiced curry, so I ordered that but when it came I was disappointed that it was also king prawn, so the menu is a bit misleading, though it was still an enjoyable meal.
China Red never disappoints - always greeted warmly and great service. Excellent choice of dishes, all presented well and flavourful. We have eaten in and had take out, and always been happy with the quality of the food.
Food was good with a lot of choice. The staff were excellent and worked very hard. Although we did have to wait very long to start ordering.

The staff are friendly and very efficient with seating and organising diners in a very busy restaurant. The food was delicious, with very little waiting time after ordering. It's definitely worth a visit ,but make sure you pre book your table,especially at weekends.
Best Chinese in Guernsey. Lovely team and delicious food. Always busy and fun.
We were a large group for a Gastronomique dinner with a wine pairing. The service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious and the wines too.
The restaurant was so full for a Wednesday evening which says something.

Honestly the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been too outside of Asia, can't recommend enough, staff are super kind and friendly. Food has amazing flavours and doesn't feel nasty, heavy or greasy after. 10/10 fillet steak too.
I always look forward to a trip to Guernsey to be able to eat at China Red, delicious food and incredible customer service.
